It's a plot by the police to hide the evidence using remote-controlled birds.

Nice to see Google is giving the locations of the police.

I am looking at a website that lists their home addresses also. HAA!

Spy on me? I spy on you.

Nom nom nom, chicken finger. I mean, ew, it's a chicken finger.

I'm always a little grossed out by seagulls who eat other birds (you see them eating pigeons a lot.) But humans eat other mammals all the time. This is silliness on my part.

I've never understood the reputation The Birds has for being scary. It isn't scary. It isn't interesting. The material was much better used when it was a radio play that lasted around a half hour.

Even the commenters on the frickin' SUN website realize that Google Maps' pictures are composites stitched together.

FTA's Comments...
Not trickery at all, its the way Google take the picture, its around 5 pictures stitched together. Go to any road with parked cars, it does exactly the same same, either cuts off or misaligns.

No i think this is genuine enough! If you take a gander at other camera shots from google earth, maps or street view they often have bits an pieces of their photo's missing or even added.

quizzical1: What's up with the wing on the right side?

Google Maps is a composite of pictures taken by the moving vehicle. The cameras snap a picture every X seconds. The pictures are then lined up next to each other to create the effect of an endless picture. So, when most of the bird's picture was taken the end of its left wing was not in the field of vision of the camera. When the second picture was taken both the camera and the bird had moved and most of the bird's body was not in the field of vision of the camera.

Demetrius: This seems to be happening a lot lately.

are you suggesting that google is doing this to increase awareness of their tools and get more people to look endlessly for such images generating ad revenue during a down economy? Surely no corporation would do something like that. Oh wait corporation ... hmm.. I guess they are all inherently evil, its part of the incorporation papers that get filed, they have endless supplies of money too so if you tax them they will never pass those costs onto consumers.

I hate to inform you (and the bird) that it is carrying a turd of dogshirt. It doesn't mind pecking out nutrition bits. That's where the expression "It's for the birds" came from, birds pecking away at horseshirt in the horse and buggy days. Www.xanga.com/Kevin72 to see a pigeon eating vomit after I threw up on the street (not gross because the bird already ate the solid parts).

PS My nickname is not derived from the definition of "to treat with contempt or ridicule." It is based on the other definition, "to imitate (as a mannerism) closely." Just thought I would clarify that.
