That's awesome.

Al Jaffee took the idea one step further for comedic purposes way back in 1963, though he faked it.

I'll be happy if my special snowflake just grows up to be a decent human being who doesn't screw other people over for the sheer, diabolical fun of it.

First female president wouldn't be bad either...

simpsonfan: I used to do stuff with LEGOTM. Like the Demolisher. A vehicle, made as heavy and sturdy as possible, to rolled across the floor at less sturdily constructed LEGOTM vehicles and buildings.

I think Calvin would approve.

the hilarious part is that somewhere in this country right now - there is some mini-van driving fat worthless fark of a mom standing in line at walmart with art supplies to bring home to Johnny Fatass, in hopes that he will save the family from crippling debt by becoming the next Picasso.

Statistically speaking -- your snot nosed snow flake will accomplish nothing spectacular in life.

My daughter Ambrosia-Louvre is only 6 yet is easily painting at a high-school level. She has gone through her impressionist phase just lately, almost uncanny is her ability to produce Manet, Pissarro, Degas, Monet levels of work with basic school supplies.

I will not be surprised in the least if she is asked to instruct art classes by the time she reaches her teens.

Incidentally... you come across very much like a bitter, angry douchebag wishing failure on others so you can feel better about your own. Don't know if that's what you were going for or not.

Holy balls, CheekyMunky, that cartoon will haunt me for weeks.

Reminds me of a book I read as a preteen that began with some UK kid being blown up in a train station. It turned into some weird story about a seekrit turrist needing to steal his passport or something.

I read that book in middle school. I can't remember what it was called now. The cover looked like a package wrapped with brown paper and twine.

There are a heck of a lot more dads catching footballs at their kids in the hopes they'll be the next Peyton Manning.

You do get the stereotype of the starving artist, don't you?

The artist's interpretations remind me of art from the fantastic book "The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales".

I loved that book when I was a kid, but some of the art in there did creep me out at the time:
