Christ, the VAT is normally 21%?
This is in addition to European income taxes? I'd always heard taxes were high over there, I figured people were exaggerating somewhat.

This raises the question, if the VAT is at 21 percent, and the gap in what he owed is 50 large... what kind of degenerates are going to a spankbooth for their jollies and spending MONEY on this stuff enough that he can owe 50,000 euro on a tax bill?

Belgium must not have teh intarwebs.

FTA:
"The court ruled the Erotic Center's cubicles did not meet the definition for a reduced VAT rate, which states that an establishment must be "available to the public on prior payment of an admission fee giving all those who pay it the right collectively to enjoy the cultural and entertainment services."

If you exclude his business from the exemption on the basis that not everybody can really enjoy the movies he offers because of age (I assume under-age not admitted), then how is a cinema that prevents under-age children from watching rated R movies any different?

It sounds to me like his business meets all the requirements to qualify for the discount-rate. Besides, he wasn't pocketing the difference, he just wasn't charging the full VAT to his customers.

What I took away was that because the booths are single occupancy as opposed to -actual- theaters they didn't qualify.

So yeah, vague wording is vague.

JavanDane: Do they sell coin operated boys?

A local radio station used to play that song until one year during their "phone-a-thon" they got enough donations to take it off the playlist.

/I didn't mind it.
//There were far worse ones on the list.

Ha! Try to shop in Denmark, our vat is 25%.
