He brainwashed a whole bunch of hot young guys, turned them into mindless assassins, spread them out over the world and keyed them to respond to a cell phone text message, and actually succeeded at it?

What's the problem? We need more men like this running things.

What is it with these people and not seeing the difference between fictional worlds and real ones? We had Scalia and others using "24" as a reference to support a point he was making. There were other ones too that I can't think of at the moment. Of course, a large number of some of the same people think a pampered actor playing a cowboy in a movie = that guy is a real cowboy, too.

Which is still kinda close as to what spies look, IMHO.

I'm not surprised by this. Honestly, I would expect this kind of thing of any semi-capable government.

Somewhere, somehow, someway, someone is going to blame Israel!

You may be thinking of Dan Quayle blasting "Murphy Brown" for having a baby out of wedlock.

Its one thing to contract out some logistics, commo, IT. Problems happen when your start contracting out trigger pullers and intel weenies. A competent government would keep those activities in house.

Bring them to trial under the Geneva Conventions as illegal combatants and execute them. Privatizing wars and 4th Generation warfare are bad thing generally.

It's fairly endless. George H. W. Bush whined that American families should be more like the Waltons than the Simpsons. It's almost as if a certain political persuasion was peopled mainly by persons of the lowest, basest, most simplistic sort for whom anything but easy pop-culture references would be too demanding.

I would agree about keeping in-house, but let's face it, buying information is just as useful as getting it yourself. IF you find yourself in an intelligence scarcity and need that intelligence now, buying it is the way to go. Especially when our "allies", the pakistanis, intelligence agencies are notoriously buddy buddy with your targets.

Done in one what? The association of Matt Damon with a headline referencing Jason Bourne is not clever. It is the inverse of obscure.

Its a quote from Team America World police, Matt Damon could only yell "MATT DAMON" whenever prompted for anything.
