Lame. They should have done it outside the bar at night. The people going for their third drink would have been awesome to watch.

That does not sound like a very good idea. Well intentioned, but poorly thought out.

So they drink after the donation - so the blood to alcohol ratio can only be increased once they've done this - this would be a good way to get drunk for cheap I think.

win win.

Hah, Rookies... I was there with my future wife when she was living in St. Charles. She was a block or so away.

Cool story, brah: When I was in college we gave blood and then 1/2 hour later drank a few beers to see if we got extra wasted.

I don't remember the result, I believe I passed out.

"I've been eating well. The hospital
gives out free orange juice and cookies...and all I have to do
is give them a pint of blood.I ate there all week, three times a day.I quit when I cut myself shaving and nothing came out but air.

I have to go now as someone
is staring at me through binoculars.

Best part is, the more blood you give, the less booze you need.

When I was a freshman in college (Boston, 1977) they held blood drives and would give a keg of beer to the living group (dorm or fraternity) that had the highest percentage of their residents donate blood. It was a very successful contest.

Hmmm... does it have to be your own blood?

To quote Al Bundy.
"The brain doesn't need blood. It just needs to be kept wet."

So this is a win.

Everyone's blood donates equally well, right? I see no reason why the BloodMobile should care.

Giving blood and getting free drinks? Around here all you get is an apple a juice box. I say this article should get the spiffy tag!

The blood donation clinic I go to gives you free Guinness and snacks after you give blood. I always thought that was a standard thing, but maybe its because I'm in Dublin.

I'm too lazy, but does anyone have the pic of Al Bundy saying that the brain hides an extra pint?

This would be great for those people who have too much blood in their alcohol system. I mean, when your a true alkie, who needs that stuff anyway?
