You know, if I were the cop and a dog started eating my squad car, I'd be updating the old resume.

By the time McCamey Animal Center staffers captured that dog and two others, it had chewed two tires and the entire front bumper off Holmes' patrol car.

Suck my diiiiiiiiiiiick, I'm a bulldog!

The beast took the bumper cover off of the car. I don't think they make Kongs for this one.

Don't cops shoot dogs on sight in Tennessee?

officers used pepper spray and a Taser on it, but the animal wasn't deterred.

That is one badass dog.

Nice. Why not call animal control instead of 'Taser'-ing the dog?

It is as if the story placed it on a tee, and you're the only one to see it and swing cleanly. Bravo.

Awesome, we need this dog for police work. He finds the criminals and rips off a leg, they get into a vehicle, he takes out a couple of wheels.

Cause then there would be no reason for them to taser anything!

Sentence implies that the dog chewed the tires off the car as well.

Assumedly the writer is just retarded. Otherwise that'd be one badass dog.

No, cited, past tense, he was able to see at one time, but no more. What that has to do with the dogs being removed, I have no idea.

I didn't want to assume from the ambiguous article that the dog had actually broken the tire walls as opposed to just some spirited gnawing. Tires are really resilient!

I used to have this carpet-looking mutt about 10 years ago. It chewed the tire off of my wheelbarrow. And I mean completely off. Wheelbarrow was there; tire was in pieces on the lawn.

Our rotter chewed the tire off the riding lawnmower.

But I find it difficult to believe a dog could chew the tires off a police cruiser, especially since said tires are likely to be "speed rated" and therefore heavily reinforced

Entirely believable, but highway tires are a different tale. I actually just wanted to know from TFA the exact extent of the damage. This dog is a bad ass (like Mickey Rourke in Sin City-level bad) and deserves as much!

Yo, police car buyers, I respect you, and Imma let you finish, but plastic bumpers are the worst bumpers of all time.

After the dog attacked two passing cars and a second police car, officers used pepper spray and a Taser on it, but the animal wasn't deterred.

Good jorb. Take an otherwise annoying dog that is not creating a danger, then create a really dangerous situation by tazing it. Why didn't you just get the bullet out of your shirt pocket? Did the dog respect your authority?

/Will Cesar be visiting?

Hmm, a dog destroying property. Yeah, he's a good dog, just let him get it out of his system. Let him shiat all over my lawn, while you're at it.

My folks had a tirebiter. Buddy got 30-35 tires in his lifetime. They had a long tree-lined dirt driveway. My ex brother-in-law was in his Toyota driving to the house one day, and Buddy tried to get his tire. Barry (the bro-in-law) brushed him off into a tree, so Buddy waited till he got to the house and stopped, then went up to the open driver's window, hiked his leg and peed right in Barry's face. This is known as "country humor".

Where I used to live there was a pitpull that was allowed to roam free by its owners. Damn dog always went charging straight for any car coming down the road. I'd stop, and try to drive around the damn thing.

For a time, I stopped seeing the dog loose, which was fine by me. One day, though, I see the dog outside, standing in the yard...on three legs.

Guess he caught a car one day

/It didn't go near my car ever again

LumberJack,

Hmm, a dog destroying property. Yeah, he's a good dog, just let him get it out of his system. Let him shiat all over my lawn, while you're at it.

OK, let's look at the options.
1-Drive away.
2-Let the dog use the car a kong, and make sure no one gets otherwise hurt, while animal control arrives.
3-Or WTF, just taze and pepper spray it. Escalate the situation so the dog might use the cops as a kong.

There is a difference between attacking things and attacking people. The cops were testing the second. I am guessing they were not part of a K9 unit.

I googled and apparently he's a "victim" and a douche about people posting his work.

"These cartoons are my "children," of sorts, and like a parent, I'm concerned about where they go at night without telling me. And, seeing them at someone's web site is like getting the call at 2:00 a.m. that goes, "Uh, Dad, you're not going to like this much, but guess where I am." -Larson

Shame about that, I used to love the guy's work.
