Hard to feel sorry for any soldiers in the field, not now anyway. Any soldier who has ended up there recently has joined up in the full knowledge that they might get sent there. Dear farking god, you're an incomprehensible retard. People complain about Stephen Ambrose's writing style (yes, BoB was a book before it was an HBO series), but nobody but nobody ever accused him of just making shiat up. Every anecdote he put forth in the book was confirmed by at least 3 other people, and all from people who hadn't seen or talked to each other in over a decade.
