Has subby not seen his wife?

Actually after watching the two's chemistry in Dodgeball I'm apt to believe him.

"Kate: No. I'm bisexual. (kisses Peter): Dwight: Oh, snap! "

If you can't force yourself into a 3-way with 2 lesbians, you can't dodge a ball....or something like that.

Well, that and he's loaded.

I'm sure that a lot of money doesn't hurt either.

Ben does not deserve Marcia Brady!

/not subby

Stiller has banged many lovelies, including Jean Tripplehorn, and he ends up with the girl on the Barbara Ann bread wrapper/Coppertone girl of the 50s/60s?

Also, maybe it helps that Stiller's parents have been married since the Crimean War. They are sort of a good role model.

Peter Graves was married to the same woman from 1950 until, well, Sunday.

His sketch comedy show in the early '90s was funny and smart. Cable Guy was Jim Carrey's best comedy. There's Something About Mary was funny as hell and Tropic Thunder was great. All the "Ouch, My Balls!" movies...well, the guy's got to eat.

I have to say that I find her very appealing.

I'd be happily laughing if I married way over my head, too!

So he dumped her for a younger woman? Or did he finally get with the kid who got to visit the cockpit?

OK, all snarking aside--maybe his movies are not the greatest, and he's not the funniest, but he seems stable. Meaning that he was never known as a womanizer, a drunk, a nut, an attention whore, or an asshole to his friends. The kind of guy a person could probably marry and he wouldn't turn into the Wolfman the day after the ceremony.

I have to put that in the "+" column.

All snarking aside?!? This is Fark, y'know!

But I have to agree--Ben seems like he's actually an okay guy. I think a lot of credit has to go to his parents. And they're hilarious to boot. Good comedy genes!

Or his woman was of a generation that just tolerated that kind of thing and kept her mouth shut.

Kind of like the Reiner family.

At least he's consistent. Every time I see a Ben Stiller movie I think that he was never funnier. That's because he's never funny.

I don't watch many modern comedies, but are there any out there that are this farking good?

( Don't say The Hangover. It's not. )

Ben Stiller was absolutely fantastic in 'Permanent Midnight' which always made me wonder why he doesn't do more drama.

She's the best part of the Famous Allentonian Club.

Another Government Employee:

Kind of like the Reiner family.

Or Mel Brooks being married to Ann Bancroft for all those years.

My opinion of Stiller (fwiw)? I think his movies are funny even Starsky and Hutch. Permanet Midnight is very good, for him doing drama.

My problem is what appears to be his constant 'self putdowns' in public. Look at the Oscars; yeah him in Avatar makeup was kind of funny but his embarassment just to get a laugh bothers me, not just this time but because he's been this way for years.

I guess I'd just like to see him public persona grow a set instead of acting like a 21st century Woody Allen.

I cannot wait for the sequel to Zoolander. The first was funny and I hope the second one is too.

Ben Stiller is not your average comedian. Nobody saw this happen after the cancellation of The Ben Stiller Show.

The thing about Ben Stiller is that when he's playing "All Around Nice Guy Who Gets Into Awkward Situations", he's not funny. Which has as much to do with that genre being played out as anything else. But if you give him an interesting character? He's great. Think about it. Dodgeball, Zoolander, Tropic Thunder, Happy Gillmore (yeah, you forgot that one didn't you), and even more serious roles like in Zero Effect - he's good in every one of them.

He just needs to stop trying to be Ben Everyman Stiller. No one really likes that.

I loved him in The Royal Tennenbaums and Zoolander.

I don't even know her name. I just call her "that chick who played Melody and is married to Ben Stiller."

They seem happy enough.

Unrelated, sort of, but Nick should create a spin-off channel of all their old shows. I'd love to watch Hey Dude, Salute Your Shorts, Clarissa Explains it All, and Welcome Freshmen again.

Or, better yet, since they no longer seem to care about what is considered "classic television," stick these on Nick @ Nite.
