GreenAdder: I told them D&D 4th Edition was a bad idea.

it's been out a year and they're already up to the Players Handbook #3. i'm tellin' ya, hasbro is running that product brand into the crapper.

I guess this is a better headline than the BBC one that already had a discussion going on it. Cameron1984 guy should praise socialized medicine again to get the ball rolling.

"It feels like licking a nine-volt battery or like popping candy,"

Yes, because these things are almost exactly alike.
This guy's childhood must have been really farked up.

Yeah, mods completely ignored it, apparently. I can't watch the video, unfortunately, to confirm.

It's been closer to 2 years, actually, but WOTC/Hasbro ceased to care about
the game as anything other than an excuse to sell minis ever since they
released v3.5 and backed away from the OGL.

I have a feeling that Clash of the Titans is going to be along the same lines.

This tongue-deal was on Scientific American Frontiers a while back, I think the episode is probably still on Hulu. Fascinating brain stuff.

I took one glance through at the PH for 4th and decided if I wanted the MMO holy trinity I'd play WoW. Taunting?!

As for the article: That's pretty sweet! Though I prefer the silicon implants on the retina idea a little more, especially if they can keep pounding away at how signals to the brain work out.

THIS

If I'm runny anything d20ish, I'd use True 20.

Savage Worlds does it for me for now as its Easy to do NPCs, character Gen and combats are lightning fast. The down side characters all begin to look the same after a while.

The article does bring to mind an old classic Cyberpunk 2020, cubicle7 (new window) is even writing an new setting using the interlock rules. I wants it

Anybody out there still use TriStat/BESM?

Yeah, that has been bothering me for a while. Cthulhu D20 was discontinued, D20 Modern as well (or at least forgotten), so far only Magic The Gathering has been running strong. I'm telling you, ever since Hasbro bought Wizards they've been raping the company for a while.

I think the D&D torch will be given to Pathfinder, which seems to be pretty awesome.

I hear in Forgotten Realms new book 4.5 Mystra is resurrected and then killed again. For no reason.

And in 5th edition, Mystra will get stuck between two mirrors and get stuck in an infinite loop of god-level true resurrection and death. For the lulz.

From the seein with his tongue to the D&D references, I have no idea what anyone is talking about.
/how does he inturpret the signals, I don't get it.
