There's still a street in Green Bay named after Bret Farve?

Just came here to say that I was born and raised in GB and am glad to have escaped many years ago.

Cool sentence, bro!

Mullet Place has disappeared so many times city crews have moved it higher on the street pole...
Well just in the front. Back of the sign's all low and rad.

I always preferred altering them to stealing them. There's a much better funny factor in it.

I came here to post the the Bong recreation area one. Nice park, I've been there a few times.

When they installed speed humps on my street, there were signs saying "HUMP" with an arrow pointing downwards. My friends and I had planned on stealing them that weekend, but they were all gone within two days.

How about opening a shop where you make custom street signs and sell them over internet and use this money to pocket and go home er I mean to finance roadways and...

I almost convince myself sometimes that public funds are actually used to fund public things.

speaking of funny street names, the closest intersection to my house here in Knoxville is Nickle rd and High drive.

Canal St. => Anal St. is a personal favorite. Especially if done to the sign right in front of the elementary school that fronts onto Canal St.

Hooker Gap Road gets stolen a lot. Tell them to look for the paper sign the residents have put up. The county sign is usually gone.

The quote feature isn't working for some reason.

The Big Beaver Exit 69 one is outside of Detroit. One of my friends used to work as a secretary at a business located near the exit and every time she was on the phone and had to tell people where they were located, the person she was talking to would usually start giggling. Every. Single. Time.

I know. I know. Cool story, bro.

I know of a neighbourhood with Gay Street, which has an intersection with Young Street. Someone lives at the corner of Young and Gay. Hilarious.

The township got sick of replacing the Gay Street signs, so they made them into white lettering on red reflective tape on the stop sign pole.

2010-03-15 11:25:24 PM
It's because the other signs are related to specific sports while Mullet has much broader appeal.

We used to drive down a road called Missouri Bottom in northern St. Louis,a long, winding road through farmland, poking smot and having a good old time. We used to draw a giant cock and balls on the deer crossing signs along the way. every time, within 2 or 3 days, that sign would disappear, and the county would have to put up a new one. musta done that like 16 times.

/stimulating narrative endeared character...

In the burbs near chicago, there is (or was, anyway) a tiny street by a park named Mary Jane Lane. The sign was probably 15 feet off the ground and bolted into a sturdy looking frame, directly under the only street light for blocks around.

Wasn't enough to stop my friend...

stoner road in asheville was taken so many times in the early 90's they attached the sign to power lines going over the road.

There are lots of Mullett signs in the Hartland WI area, an uppity northwestern suburb of Milwaukee. The Mullett family donated a good amount of money for construction of an ice rink at a local high-school, no less. It's beyond me how the monument sign isn't stolen or defaced each week.
