I always hated that video, and song.

Loved her later album Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea though. Still listen to it.

A dissent voice:
Over-rated hackery.

Minimal talent passed off(at the time) as 'cutting edge' and 'too cool for the masses' but is just weird for the sake of being weird.

Yeah, subby, I'd say none of the above.

Here's punk.
Here's blues.
And here's grunge.

Here's a live TV performance of PJ doing "White Chalk", from her most recent album of the same name:

I f*cking love that song. And the performance.

And her.

Damn she's pretty.

And talented.

Cumbersome made me lol.

I would have went with something by Collective Soul, but that's f*cking perfect.

Add me to the list of PJ fans. To Bring You My Love is probably my favorite album, followed by Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea. Is This Desire? is up there too, but too weird for a lot of people. I saw her live after Uh Huh Her came out and the energy was amazing, they did a great job changing up some of the songs and did an awesome version of Joy with PJ drumming and singing at the same time.

For me it's the NFL.com commercials that send me into a rage b/c of the gravely whispering "ghhhhhoooo to the ehhnehhhffffehhhl"

But yeah, that zoom zoom kid can go to hell too.

Minor correction, I like PJ but wouldn't put her at the very top of my list, though she is on the high end.

This was her last interesting album. Her first three records were these raw, brutal, screaming masterpieces. Then, she learned to sing and got some production money and made one more fantastic record. (Honestly, this is the weak song on To Bring You My Love.) After that, I feel like she just got boring.

She still rocks in concert, but the last few records are snoozefests.

I'm surprised by how good she looks there. Every picture I've seen ^^ led to believe she's hideous.

She's got a bit of a nose, but I think she looks pretty good. That picture above is of the "play up the rawness angle" era and isn't a very accurate representation of what she really looks like.

Here is a very cool sparse live version of Grow Grow Grow from White Chalk...

Yeah. I saw her once at a Knitting Factory show. From 5 feet away, she's way cute.

Yep, ditto on the thanks for the Rid of Me video link. That's my second-favorite PJ song, and that was a great rendition.

//1st favorite = My Beautiful Leah from "Is This Desire" (new window)
