Funny that Clapton left the Yardbirds because he felt they were getting "too commercial" considering that 90% of what he's put out since the mid 70's is polished AOR crap.

/Supposedly they couldn't get the rights to record "Train..." for the film, so they wrote some new lyrics, and voila - a new song

Clapton was better off in John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers and later Beck was better off going solo. I actually always thought Beck must have taken lessons after The Yardbirds.
