Did he play with Pat on anything besides "Question and Answer"?

There was another group with Pat, Roy, and Christian McBride. They put out at least one album together that I know of.

Outstanding.

Hey - If I can still sit upright and feed myself at that age, I'll be happy. It's awesome to see someone still on his game after all that time and still smiling.

Saw B.B. King a few years back (second row!). Awesome. Goes to show that being truly happy will contribute to a long life.

Favorite recording with Haynes on it: Coltrane's "My Favorite Things," from his album "Newport '63."

Haynes is filling in for Elvin Jones. Haynes plays the song a little more uptempo, with a bit more energy than Jones usually would, and Trane responds with probably the most ferocious soloing of any version of the song he ever recorded.

It's funny how you can change one member of a band and the resulting style difference leads another member of the same band to put a new spin on an old trick.
