Wait until you have to put your underwear on the conveyor...

Ugh, carpet in a public area where people are required to remove their shoes? That's farking disgusting. Rip that out and put in a sealed hard floor. I don't want to think about what kind of nasty crap is growing in that carpet.

I should hope so! I do my part by not changing my socks for the week prior to having to fly anywhere.

I could kill small dogs with those things by the time I'm ready to show them to the TSA. It's the little things in life....

If they think my feet smell, wait'll they look up my behind.

made the mistake of wearing flip flops one flight... i don't even want to think about how many nasty feet were where i was stepping...

i've invested in slippers, and buy new socks just for flights. which is getting quite expensive since i fly a lot these days.

Cool Story Bro:

When we came back from Iraq in late 2004, we had to deplane in Baltimore and go through Customs, and go out into the general population of the airport, before we could continue on to March AFB. By that time, we had been on the go for around 24 hours without showers or anything, mostly cooped up in a plane.

In order to get back to our plane (which quite literally had M16s lining the aisles and M9s in the seatback pockets), we had to go into an otherwise-unoccupied section of the terminal and go through the whole TSA security theatre thing. Including taking off our boots and putting them on the x-ray conveyor.

Yeah. You could almost see a green cloud of stink around that security station. (One Marine dropped his trousers and put them on the conveyor as well, and went through the metal detector in his green silkies.) Probably one of the more inane moments in seven months of a Marine Corps deployment.

Ummm... Blow it out your ass, TSA.

Give them a budget cut and a kick in the nuts instead.

I'm hoping some new terrorist technique makes them have to personally sniff our farts to Keep Us Safe.

If it saves just one child, I'll do my part by ripping a wet one in the TSA officer's face before every flight.

For America. For Freedom.

I love to hate the TSA, but let's all try and remember that they're just workers who are stuck with a shiatty job. The people who really need to be kicked in the nuts are the politicians who created an environment of fear and gave the TSA its stupid orders.

"Stinky Feet" would be a good name for a band.

Good to see you're still free and brave, America. Carry on.

What was always strange to me was that the smell of fermenting jarheads is a very distinct odor. It isn't so much a BO smell as it is a stale sweat smell mixed with X-day old cammies that you've worn non-stop. Then to add taking your boots off to the mix... GAH! (while this may be true of all the branches of the service, I never was around any others that ever broke a sweat, so my experience is limited to smelling "my brothers")

As of last week, I've been out for 20 years now, and I can still smell that odor. Yet I can't remember ever smelling it anywhere else since.

Oh, you must smell like... feet wrapped in leathery, burnt bacon!

Good idea! We named our band Crib Death, and it didn't really catch on....

Maybe they should have us walk through a shallow container of something which will have a stronger smell than stinky feet, cover any stinky feet, smell better than stinky feet, and also reduce the number of terrorists which would go through it.

Bacon fat!
Bacon makes even the TSA better.

It's a pretty killer name, in my opinion.

I have the pleasure of flying through West Palm for work and I can attest to the distinct odor coming from the carpet in the "security theater" area. When I read the generic news headline "Foot Odor At Fla. Airport May Prompt Security Change," I immediately thought..... must be West Palm.

I had the regrettable experience of flying Indian Airlines a number of years ago. I was one of the last passengers to board and when I got inside it was like a hit a solid wall of feet. I don't think anyone on that plane had washed their feet in a week. Yuck!

Try clearing a nasty bag of dead fish from Japan. The screener put the bag all together, minus all the maggots that crawled out.

What's the deal with fat black women whose heels look like giant loaves of bread? I had the great fortune of sharing a flight with some Mac Daddy from Africa and his ten smelly fat wives, all wearing sandals with those giant loves for feet. My eyes were watering at the end of the flight.
