Spector has no one to blame but himself, he walked out in public like that. I've got no sympathy for hottie killers anyway.

My source was originally going to be "Dark Bloodsucker."

The film of the Ramones talking about working with Spector should have been played at the trial - to be fair.

What crap. He had two trials, with the best lawyers that money could buy, and remained free for six years after murdering someone. If he was Phil the grocer instead of Phil the celebrity he wouldn't have gotten that.

/His lawyers are milking the cow.

Shouldn't this be the "newsflash" tag?

Fantastic defense: (FTA) "None of the ... evidence involved events in which Mr Spector put a gun in someone's mouth, much less fired it," the appeal lawyers said.

Five women said he threatened them with a gun, but since he didn't actually put the gun in their mouth "much less fired it" their testimony is totally irrelevant. Yeah.

I didn't want to get a TO or irritate TPTB.

I wonder if Phil is enjoying the Wall of Pound.

The 148-page appeal also singles out the actions of Superior Court Judge Larry Paul Fidler who presided over both of the Spector murder trials. In particular, Fidler is accused of influencing the jury by offering his own interpretation of the evidence on offer.

"Under California law, a judge may not offer evidence in a trial over which he presides," reads the appeal.

This is most likely just legal BSing, but if the judge did indeed attempt to sway the jury's opinion, this POS deserves a new trial. Where he will be convicted. I don't even know why they're doing this. So they declare a mistrial, try him again, he's found guilty, AGAIN, based on fairly overwhelming evidence.

What is the point? I don't know how this aspect of a legal system works...would he be released during the time before a new trial took place? If so, it might just be a ploy to enjoy a few weeks of sweet freedom...and then flee to Argentina. I suppose they probably wouldn't let him out specifically because he's a flight risk. Guy was in music; I'm sure he knows all sorts of shady characters.
