Do they open or close the One Hit Wonder 2010 Tour?

Not trolling. I know there are a bunch of FNM fanboys here, but I never saw any reason to be into this band. I prefer Mr. Bungle if I have to listen to Mike Patton.

I wasn't even aware they had more than one song. And that one song isn't even that good.

I'm not sure if you are all serious or not, but Faith No More is awesome. The CD that Epic was on (the Real Thing) is "ok". To get awesome, pick up Angel Dust and King for a Day.

Pssshhhh.... Like we care. A lot.

Can. Not. Wait.

I'm sure I'm gonna fail to get through to ticketmaster and I'll end up having to pay some absurd premium to a re-seller to get in...but I don't really care. Never got to see them before, not missing my chance now.

Can we get a Kyuss reunion next, please?

This.

And "The Real Thing" was good. "Angel Dust" was good. Mr. Bungle was, is, and probably always will be farking terrible.

It's not FNM unless Jim Martin is involved

Mr Bungle has some songs that are standout genius. Retrovertigo comes to mind.

Taste is subjective. I have very diverse musical interests, however I just cannot get into Mr. Bungle. I've tried. I've forgotten the cd I have, its buried in the stacks somewhere.

And yeah, FNM needs Jim Martin.

2010-03-11 05:51:23 PM
Why the fark are they going out to the east coast first? I don't want to have to wait until after they do another European leg and come home all tired. Piss moan whine complain repeat.

2010-03-11 05:52:39 PM
Plus, I thought Jim Martin was a hack human trucker hat.

Faith No More fanboys may be interested in this (new window)album that came out last year, if they can take patton's peen out of their ears long enough to listen to it.

it would be most heinous if he wasn't involved

Okay. I'm not a Mr. Bungle freak or anything, but when someone dismisses their entire catalogue as "terrible," it raises question about their overall judgement of music. I can see just not getting into them, though. I've never been a huge fan, but at least I can tell they were good at what they did, and had a reason for doing it.

I reserve labelling music as "terrible" for the kind that is unimaginative, uncreative, and more interested in appealing to a style-over-substance demographic than to being respected as artistic expression. Even then, it also has to sound like crap (and usually does anyway).

ahhh...didn't recognize the song by name. It's been many years since I had that cassette. BTW, there's a re-working of We Care A Lot on the 2009 Mosley album "Will Rap Over Hard Rock For Food." Don't let the title fool you. There isn't much rap at all on the album, and much of the rock isn't very hard. The album isn't bad.

Yeah, I listened to it. I was a little disappointed honestly, but it has some highlights. I kind of liked the song Tractor. Sorta.

I've upped my maximum money for seeing a reunion of The Smiths from $500 to a week's salary.

It's never going to happen, but I would put it out there.

serpent_sky: I've upped my maximum money for seeing a reunion of The Smiths from $500 to a week's salary.

That's about right. They'll finally get them for Coachella or Glastonbury or something, and that's what you'll have to pay.

That would slay me; I can't do the outdoor thing, because I hate the heat and I have a bad history of skin cancer.

You don't have to listen to anything. You can just GFY if you'd like.
