That was slightly amusing. Although it made me think about how much time the person who it had to have invested in looking through pictures to make it work.

To be honest, seeing some of those retarded outfits actually reminds me of Bjork more than anything. Lest we forget:

Yes, and Bjork wore that dress with aplomb, and is creative and actually uses her enormous talent.

But what I don't get is that Bjork wears a goose dress and people all made fun of her. Gaga wears a giant crustacean over her face and people don't even flinch? Change in the times I suppose?

Because no one ever wore white lobster. This is revolutionary step in pop music

Middle America knows Lady Gaga and have come to expect this. Middle America does not know Bjork.

You realize she wore that thing to the Oscars right and her stuff played on MTV (when they actually had music on, which they barely did even 10 years ago)? And one of her vids (I Miss You) was animated by the Ren and Stimpy crowd.

You do know that Bjork's stuff and Gaga's are the same designer, yes? That's why you see the similarity.

Marjan Pejoski? Cause that's who designed the goose dress.

Oop. Then I'm totally wrong on that one.

I'm a dork. Thinking of McQueen's work on Bjork's album cover for Homogenic.

Middle America didn't know Bjork before the Oscars. I doubt she was a household name at anytime. Even the lamest grandfather in this country knows who Lady Gaga is but you'd be hard pressed to find 10 random people on the street in the span of a few minutes who know who Bjork is.

PS: I also happen to be a Bjork fan.

So did I and I was in the cosmopolitan Northern Virginia which is in no way related to any other part of Virginia. However, I felt I was only one of a couple of kids who listened to her. I remember on one over night trip w/ my choir some of the kids asked me what I was listening to on my discman "Bjork", they just looked at me as if I just started speaking Klingon to them.

If I had gotten my contemporary musical education from my classmates I would've thought there were only 3 musical groups/artists at the time: N*Sync; Britney Spears; and The Goo Goo Dolls.

Could have been worse, when I was in Jr. High, Metallica's Black Album came out. At one of our dances the dj put on the song Unforgiven. A bunch of the other kids looked at each other, and not knowing what to do, started slow dancing to it.

See now that just doesn't make any sense at all. Why would you play any garage band or even grunge at a dance? My dances were always Beastie Boys, Cuttin' Eye Joe and what we used to call "lip flipper" stuff like Tootsie Roll. Then the usual stereotypical stuff for slow dances.

/damn "lip flipper" sounds racist now that I'm older...
