And they'll piss people off by covering Big Audio Dynamite.

/Not that that's bad

That might be an interesting sound. I see it's only SOME of the members of The Clash, though...

Well it's not exactly worth it to dig up Joe now is it?

I can only hope they would. Damn I wish I could see one of these shows.

I'm still waiting to hear the track Topper and Mick did with Billy Bragg. They've been making the rounds lately and all I hope is that they don't try to pull a reunion. That would have been a bad idea even before Joe died. Now a BAD reunion on the other hand...

Mick Jones and Paul Siminon recorded together on the title track "Plastic Beach", it's the first time they've recorded together in about 30 years. They may be joining the Gorillaz touring band together also. Spared you needing to rtfa.

Tighten Up Vol. '88 is one of my favorite albums and Applecart is one of my all time favorite songs. I would LOVE to see BAD

well that kicks ass and i endorse this thread. another article on the subject also says that lou reed will sit in on a track, which could go either way i guess.

One of the best tracks on a great album. The one with Lou Reed is also awesome. Wish I could see one of the live shows.

Wouldn't get too excited, saw Jones' most recent project Carbon/Silicon a couple of years ago and it was really uninspired. He can still squeeze out a tasty lick now and again though, so if Albarn gives him something to work with...

Saw the Good, the Bad and the Queen a few Coachellas ago, pretty good set, but definitely not the Clash. Laid in the grass and watched the clouds go by for most of it.

Still don't understand the appeal of Gorillaz beyond the cartoon gimmick and the inordinately expensive music videos.

Don't you mean The The Clash, subby? You know, since we're unnecessarily adding the word "the" to things.

Mick Jones had a band called Carbon/Silicon going for a while. It was the weakest-ass shiat you've ever heard in your life. Made the Libertines look like The Who. And those two guys played for Damon Albarn's little side project for a bit, which was OK, but I don't think they had much to do with the quality of the work there..

Overall, other than Strummer, the Clash had the collective musical talent of a blocked nostril.

/saw a Strummer solo gig once
//well, half of one
///it was acceptable
