KISS was nothing but a money-making gimmick from day one.

Gene Simmons and Lars Ulrich should form a band together as the two biggest money-grubbing douchebags in the music industry. They could vow to electrocute anyone who downloads their shiatty songs.

Chaim's son could do the manga of the cartoon of the band. He could just trace K-On, easy money.

Jealous much? I wish I had 1/10th the business sense of those guys. Gotta say I'm a little envious of Gene Simmons and what he was able to do with KISS

Gene's daughter legal yet?

Except it took them several years before they started to make money and become successful.

Slapping on face paint didn't just sell albums.

I gave up Saturday morning cartoons when they started sanitizing Looney Yunes.

That's all well and good. Too bad their musical sense is nonexistent.

Don't most people go the other way? They're Kiss fans, and then they discover that cartoons, while also loud and colorful and pointless, can be occasionally entertaining? And then drop Kiss? Or is that just me?

who needs cartoons when you have action figures?

Yes, because anyone who doesn't like what you like is jealous of their success.

Yeah, if you don't have Saturday morning cartoons then you don't have to give them up.

I was a Seventh Day Adventist, so I didn't get to watch Saturday morning cartoons. That either means nothing, or explains everything.

In my early childhood Kiss were like gods to me. In fact the first concert I ever attended was Dynasty as a wee young'in. Cool story bro.

Now when I see Gene Simmons I just want to vomit. I saw them on their first reunion tour, it was awesome. Then they came around a few years later on their Farewell Tour, $85+Ticketfarker fees for the worst seats in the house. It was clear to me they didn't give a shiat about their loyal fans anymore (if they ever did), they just want their money. They were dead to me after that.

And the Dr Pepper commercials, the vapid reality TV family series, and appearing on American Idle, is the putrification of that bloated corpse.

Subby, No, I do not remember that. I am 28 and never gave up on cartoons. Saturday Morning cartoons gave up on me though, what happened to the quality shows like Xmen and The Tick on saturdays?

I half agree with you. At least Gene was self-conscious enough to make no bones about being a businessman first, showman second, and musician third. Lars has always comported himself like someone with about four times the skill that he actually has.

KISS was the rock equivalent of training wheels. You listened to them for a short time just after you were done with kiddie records before moving on to real bands like Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, or Aerosmith. Still being a KISS fan after your 14th birthday was just embarrassing.

Sweet, generic radio rock. Maybe you should throw on some AC/DC too. Face it man, you like the equivalent of Nickelback with slightly better sounding guitars.
