If they're like the U of M, you get good medical and dental, free tuition for yourself (don't remember aboot wife & kids) but you have to pay for books and "other fees," and it's damn near impossible to get fired. I had to blow off work for the better part of six months (I was sick and my doctor accidentally ODed me) for them to finally can me.

Which means this guy was seriously worthless if they were canning him.

Something tells me Ohio State will be changing their termination policy. Who the fark fires someone at a future date? Most places don't want you to finish the day, they just want you out without causing trouble.

Oh, not me. I think the guy behind me is about to snap, though.

For one thing, it seems like shootings (school and otherwise) always start up around April when the weather is nicer. But, aside from that, I just think we are living in a climate where more and more crazies are going to come out to play. I don't wish for it, but it's something I've said over and over. There are a lot of angry people with no opportunities out there. Yeah, things have been bad before, but we're also in a time period of self-absorption where people care little about the consequences of their actions. I just think it's the "perfect" climate for isolated violence (not revolution or any other tea party tinfoil hat type stuff) among the populace.

No wonder I'm still here for some reason. At least I don't sleep in class or skip. I make an effort if I'm late by running.
