Ugh.

Now I'm hungry.

I know I've been posting repeatedly, and I know I should get banned. But just try this number, you will NOT be disappointed if you say something remotely funny. 1-508-641-1908 is the number, and if you want to ban me, then ban me. But at least call it, there's no catch, it's just so funny.

The mustard guy is controlling world money markets, who knew?

They don't allow me to make long distance calls from my cell flumpis. Care to elaborate though?

Damn, now I crave McDonald's... and I can't have it two nights in a row.... that's just wrong!

2003-04-24 05:25:23 PM
we talked about the big mac index a little in my international business class. an interesting concept, but I question its reliability.

Unless you're an accountant did anyone read that entire article? They referred to a table and I was gone. my left nut is more interesting.

Used to be an ape at the KC Zoo named "big mac" he would vomit and then toss it at us school kids, ahh, good times...

So taking the next logical step, the carne de raton burritos sold throughout Mexico City will tell us about the value of the peso?

2003-04-24 05:28:52 PM
but, uh, do they have a Krusty's partially gelatinated non-dairy gum-based beverage index?

2003-04-24 05:29:00 PM
it wasn't that funny.

According to our female market analyst , she sees all McDonalds indicators pointing up...

When I went to China two years ago, a quarter pounder cost 15 yuan (about $1.80) But the greatest part was the ice cream cone that cost 2 yuan, about 25 cents.

Funny thing was, the burgers actually tasted better there. And the service is much better too.

The economic health of the fast food industry is directly proportional to the number of semi-solid chunks of yellow floaties remaining after a double flush.

I've stopped eating McDick's entirely since I read that their burgers can be up to a year old. I mean, come on, a year? That means some burgers are 1/18 my age.

I don't know about the rest of you, but to me, big macs aren't that tasty. Never were. Even when the economy was good.

The "Dollar Menu" is throwing this theory out of wack.

Unless you're an accountant did anyone read that entire article? They referred to a table and I was gone. my left nut is more interesting.

Have you tried submitting it? You'd be surprised to see what gets linked around here.

Seriously, though, you should read the article. It's an interesting take on the market of currencies, and it's pretty easy reading.

2003-04-24 07:23:47 PM
I read the article because we coincidentally discussed the Big Mac index in my econ class today. A farker should have posted the article earlier and saved me the trip to campus.

Buy, Buy, Buy,....

Strong upmarket trends indicate this as a strong buy signal.

PS: as a Trend follower one would also recommend (sp?) elasticated trousers.

It's not like this is a new idea or anything. You'll find a Big Mac table in pretty much any introductory college Economics textbook. Simple way to introduce PPP to students.

WHEN OH WHEN WILL THEY BRING BACK THE DAMN MCRIB?????

when...oh god...

2003-04-24 08:36:53 PM

2003-04-24 09:47:57 PM
Yo, crab....

How can 2.33 times the population of the planet become infected?

I know, i know, it's off topic...Hey, I love the big mac...there, back on topic.

2003-04-24 10:47:47 PM
That's quite ridiculous. Why don't they choose something more...standard. I can't think of anything right now but the big mac is a bit of a niche product. They should pick something EVERYONE uses. Rice? Pop? I dunno...

2003-04-25 03:23:00 AM
BULLshiat!!

Everyone knows that the Double Quarter Pounder w/ Cheese is the world's most accurate economic indicator!

2003-04-25 04:44:13 AM
Who the hell pays $2.71 for a Big Mac in the U.S.?

That's about the cost of a BM + fries + coke.

2003-04-25 09:18:44 AM
$4.52 for a Big Mac in Switzerland, no wonder they are slimmer.
