The Don Draper doll will have to come with a snorkel - right, ladies?

2010-03-10 09:00:11 AM
i don't even watch the show, but i'd buy them simply because they have that vintage Barbie look. $75.00 price tag, though? ouch.

What's wrong with being sexy?

I think they'd make more money off a RealDoll license

MaxxLarge: Um...it looks like they skimped JUST A LITTLE on the proportions of the Christina Hendricks one.

They had to, it kept falling forward off its stand.

No Salvatore? Boooo!

I'd buy the Joan and Betty dolls. Nothing more to add, I would do it.

Ok... if anyone from that show deserves a Ken doll of themselves...

Whatever you do, don't discount them if they don't sell.

Would I be able to pick them up at Menkins?

Doesn't matter, that one will still be the best seller.

Do the other dolls have to pretend Peggy is sexy even though she's ugly as shiat?

KatjaMouse: Would I be able to pick them up at Menkins?

Menkins went all posh and doesn't have a toy department anymore.

No one ever thought Peggy was pretty. Except for Peter for inexplicable reason.

Well, they all jumped on her pretty hard when she first got there. Pete makes no sense though, he's going home to Alison Brie for crying out loud.

I'd rather have a Joan and Peggy doll. I think it could help breed some / stories I have bottled in my mind.

Well, she's pretty young. We try not to sexualize her.

I once dated a lady in California who worked for Mattel's "Collector Series" division. She was in charge of, no fooling, putting together "Collector Series" events, where Barbie fans from all over the country would gather to loudly enthuse over each others' Barbie hoard (the middle-aged hausfrau section) or slobber over each other before the all-night sausagefest (the OTT gay male section).

She was a nice enough girl, though self-admittedly a little cracked after spending day after day dealing with probably the two most high-maintenance demographics America has.

/she was no Christina Hendricks, but who is?

I thought they already had a Salvatore doll, only they made him blonde for some reason.

"Mad Men" was a great show until they made it a Women's Lib biatch fest.

fernt: "Mad Men" was a great show until they made it a Women's Lib biatch fest.

I'm looking forward to new and exciting ways in which Betty will find herself bored and drinking herself into suburban hell while neglecting the emotional development of her kids.

Then Peggy makes partner and gives society the finger by 68 by deciding to be a single mom, because we know she and Duck aren't really going to last all that long.

Well considering that she was last seen on a train to Nevada, she's at least found someplace new to do it.

It was a plane. And being a politician's wife will be all kinds of stringent for her. Not that she has any other setting mind you.
