Just lucky timing, if he'd called a few seconds earlier or later he might have gotten customer service rep Joe Severedpenis.

Superfark: Hart was previously a hitman.

In related news, Bret Hart is going to fight Vince McMahon on Wrestlemania. Old wounds, huh.

You've gotta have heart. All you really need is heart. When the odds are sayin' you'll never win. That's when the grin should start ...

This Hart to heart moment brought to you by AT&T

2010-03-09 01:25:48 AM
Not much of a coincidence really, I mean, did you know that this guy called Hart also has a....heart!
And years from now, this guy Hart will die and his heart will stop. Wow!

2010-03-09 01:27:03 AM
Wow, so this marks the one time AT&T's service has actually helped someone?

Anyone else misread the author's name?

And why does he find it necessary to put his name in the title?

Why the hell is his e-mail there too?

This man... owes his life to Jesus.

It sure as H. E., double hockey-sticks, wasnt AT&T that kept him alive.

Actually at no point did Jesus step out and help, the guy woke up and drove home to where paramedics and firemen were waiting because of...wait for it, the AT&T lady called and reported it.

I'd say it's more proof that coincidences like this make the news because of all the other people who die of heart attacks with no feel-good journalism potential. Especially if it's around Christmas.

While this is truly a heartwarming story, I just have to say...

FTA: The pain radiated from his arm to his chest and jaw. He went inside, where his mother wanted to call 911 for him. Instead, he told her he would be OK, and he left to call about his cell phone.

Seriously, how does a 60-year-old man not know that's a heart attack?

Wishful thinking. Plus Baby Boomers don't like to think of themselves as old. Yeah, it was stupid of him to be that deep in denial.

You think that's something? In the New York Herald, November 26, year 1911, there is an account of the hanging of three men. They died for the murder of Sir Edmund William Godfrey; Husband, Father, Pharmacist and all around gentle-man resident of: Greenberry Hill, London. He was murdered by three vagrants whose motive was simple robbery. They were identified as: Joseph Green, Stanley Berry, and Daniel Hill.

Pretty much this. My little brother (he was only 45) passed away recently under similar circumstances and the coroner told me he sees it all too often. When a man of that age dies in that way it's because they believe they are tougher than they are and are in denial. Something like that anyway. All I know is that I miss him terribly and if he had gone to the hospital when I told him to, he might still be here. :(

Why, so I do, the noblest that I have.
Oh, when mine eyes did see Olivia first,
Methought she purged the air of pestilence.
That instant was I turned into a hart,
And my desires, like fell and cruel hounds,
E'er since pursue me.

Bravo to Ms. Hart! TFA mentions that the man is going to take her out to dinner, and I hope their meeting one-another is covered in a followup article.

But more than that, I hope AT&T does something special for her to recognize her actions. A lot of people would have just thought, "Well, there's nothing I can do now" and hung up on the guy, but she just kept shouting. She took a personal interest in the situation, as evidenced by her crying.

Give her a plaque, a raise, a promotion, a medal...come on, AT&T. Do something for this woman--she done good.
