When is society going to wake up and finally do something about the rash of severely old people dying? It's an epidemic.

2010-03-08 01:16:47 PM
I don't know why everyone wants to be the oldest person. That label looks like the kiss of death.

2010-03-08 01:24:22 PM
It's a title you don't get to really cherish

2010-03-08 01:36:56 PM
Wasn't the last "oldest" person to die, only like 108? Are they discovering new old people in antique shops or something?

114 years ago a lot of people were born at home and without accurate records.

So I guess in about 4 years there will be no one left alive who saw the 1800s.

This can't be a coincidence! It has to be the work of a serial killer.

I am SHOCKED AND OUTRAGED that the government hasn't done anything to stop death among the elderly. Every day thousands of elderly in the US die. It's sickening.

Seeing as she was born in PEI, but hasn't lived there for 111 years, PEI will still claim her as their own.

Soon we'll have our death panels and then Washington will let us know when our time has come. It will be much cleaner that way. None of this "I'll stick around til I get on the Today Show!"

I heard the old trout died in a cocaine fueled knife and gun battle at a biker bar. Took six Hells Angels and three State police with her. Nobody guessed she wore a bullet proof vest and carried an Uzi. She is survived by several Chippendale dancers.

It would be interesting to live through one change of a century, (1899-1900) and then another (1999-2000). Particularly if you you're old enough and lucid enough to remember them both.

/born 1963, unless Star Trek type longevity happens, I'll be checking out long before 2100.
//daughter, b. 2003 has a decent shot @ 2100.

Hell of a turn over rate in that position.

Another severely old person, snuffed out in their prime by the cruel mistress of time. When will the world see that while aids kills hundreds of thousands a year, time kills hundreds of millions.

I want a major media outlet to run a satirical story on this. Promote it like it's the next bird-flu/toyotadeath/sars epidemic.

Born 1895. Old enough to own her favorite song on phonograph, record, 8 track, cassette, CD, and then download it on her iphone. Thats assuming they put out Slayers Raining Blood on phonograph.
