Don't know if you saw, but someone had posted a pic of Granny with voting enabled on all the other threads. The mods took them all off along with all postings related to the pics, but consensus was people were irate and voted for the other girl.

I was thinking that as well, JOHNDX, but even so - if 75% of the votes from fark were taken away, we'd still have, by show of hits from Cardina16's page and the new thread here, at least a thousand votes.

wow i slip away for a copule of hours and return and i find this forum aflame in ummm...flames. But i think that fires been put out. Well I got an e-mail from NhcFark regarding multiple votes by clearing the cache and cookies. I've been testing it for a bit now but to little success. I theoretically have hit the server with over 100 votes but the "average" (since the numbers change everytime) change is about 30 which I'm kind of unhappy about but will leave it running while i sleep and i'll give an official report in the morning.

I havent been here for awhile but i have been following the thread since day one. Some of it *may* have been joking but i think a lot of you guys should just chill and have a few beers. then every thing will look better.

If the voting is "corrected" after the fact for multiple votes from the same address, which I think it is, expect that 300+ vote gain to be cut significantly.

I'd imagine the admin in charge is not maintaining the software at the moment.

Even if every farker that voted is only counted once, this should be a landslide. I doubt 300 people voted for what's-her-face in the past three hours.

Granny won the first round. Keep that in mind when this finishes.

I just posted the link on anandtech.com and just got 50 votes in under an hour ...they will pick up the slack from fark ...actually a few farkers responded on there....

OK - Here's my take on this, and if Bertha wins in the long run I just might be right -

How would you like it if you look at an online poll and find yourself beeat by a ten-to-one margin? Not very good, even if you know the ass-whopping poll power of Fark. It would have been better if you lost by just a small fraction. I think kentucky.com doesn't want to hurt miss R-S's feelings and is trying to make it look like she had some sort of chance. They fully know that Bertha won the thing (With Fark behind her, not giving her the trip would be criminal), but they don't want Jaclyn to run home and sob into her horsey-hat because some 4000 people voted against her.
That said, it doesn't make what kentucky.com is doing right. Just providing another perspective on the situation.

Of course, if J R-S wins, then justice really is dead, and I would be interested in helping out in making what should have been a shoe-in happen. I like the legal angle, but I think a mass e-mail to the editors would suffice in making them cough up enough money for both of them to go.

the real crappy thing is that there is really nothing more we can do other than just wait and see ...I personally have exhausted all of my efforts and I was personally (through other forums and friends) responsible for over 100 votes and I highly doubt that most of those even counted ....
