This verse is from near the end of Muhammad's life. Around the time when the prophet led a large army of 30,000 soldiers to the northern city of Tabuk in order to confront the Byzantine Christians. In fact many of the previous verses speak poorly of those who "Remain behind the messagenger of Allah" speaking of the muslims who did not accompany the prophet on his crusade.

Maybe, I am not sure why the Byzantine Christians chose not to confront the Muslims, either way it was a fruitless crusade and the prophet returned to chastise the muslims that did not participate in purging the infidels.

That's three years ago, and the LOWEST estimate is bolded. 28,000 estimated by the UN for the first 10 months of 2006. Not 10,000 total as was your claim. And considering the article is from 3 years ago, I doubt many of these people have come back to life.
