FTA: Believe me, I'm no prude. But all the yelling and screaming and woo-wooing gets grating.

Sounds like a typical Sunday after a Packers' win.

2010-02-28 01:46:17 PM
You kidding me? Canadians and Drew would get along famously, if they were both slobbering drunk.

I love how the entire article the author is biatching about being annoyed by drunken kanukistanians, yet if you kinda read in to the way they were annoying the author, they still seemed like fairly polite kanukistanians.

/heard from friends it's been a right fortnight party up there.

FTFA: Still, while walking through downtown Vancouver after a long day's work, you can't help but think to yourself: "These must be the drunkest Olympics ever." (Watch a video of Olympic athletes training.)

I remember spending one Saturday evening in Toronto. In my opinion, that town has to at least be the beer drinking capital of North America, if not the world.

Toronto? That's where you get your Canadian drinking training wheels.

"Which way to Vancouver?"

2010-02-28 05:09:09 PM
I notice Sydney is not on that list. The Aussie could drink Vancouver into the grave, then throw the table down in there with them.

/Another good fighting wine is Melbourne Old-and-Yellow, which is particularly heavy and should be used only for hand-to-hand combat.
//Quite the reverse is true of Château Chunder, which is an appellation contrôlée, specially grown for those keen on regurgitation; a fine wine which really opens up the sluices at both ends.

2010-02-28 05:12:41 PM
Aussies, dammit.

/clearly been hitting the bottle a little myself.
//Monday mornings. Who can face them sober?

2010-02-28 05:33:54 PM
Just wait four years when they go to Russia.

2010-02-28 05:50:02 PM
There will be a lot more beer drank after we're done whooping the US at hockey.

They also had an emergency airlift of another 8500 condoms, when they went through the first 100k.

One of the best hockey games I have ever seen. As for the drinking - where are the riots?

2010-02-28 06:09:50 PM
The author apparently thinks this article will shame Canadians sober.

*SNICKER*

Seriously, congratulations guys! The better team won.

Now make sure you drink Canadian Sparkling Wine on the ice, and leave the beer for later.

/and for gods sakes, don't drink Canadian or Blue, you have such better beers available

Eh?

2010-02-28 06:12:20 PM
Why shouldn't the Olympics be a time of athletics, drinking and tomfoolery?

The family of man gets nervous when all the relatives come to visit; it's nothing 11-13 drinks can't cure.

Really? I didn't go to Waterloo so I can't say first hand. But I live in Waterloo and know a few Waterloo graduates. And they're all big drinkers, even for Canadians.

Blah, blah, blah. Don't you have a gym to be at in 26 minutes?

Go find yourself one Canadian sports team and challenge them to a drink-off and see for yourself what happens.
