You say that like it's a bad thing.

2010-02-22 12:37:10 AM
To be fair, you can't fark a book for a little extra cash.

I was gonna say that.

Books or tits? Some people struggle on that one?

FTA: During the same period 3,460 traditional pubs have closed

This is the real tragedy.

In what possible way are those two things connected? Libraries and strip clubs aren't even open at the same time! No one says to themself "I can't be bothered going to the library today, I think I'll go to a strip club tonight instead".

2010-02-22 07:44:16 AM
Wait, why have they lost gas stations?

sirgrim: You say that like it's a bad thing.

Yeah, I'm also gonna chalk that up as a WIN

You mean there's a connection between learning and women taking off their clothes?

2010-02-22 07:50:57 AM
So out of work librarians can find work as strippers now? Awesome...

2010-02-22 07:51:17 AM
Maybe if you would take the sand out of the vagina of you purdemitter you could see two sides of this issue and one side says this is a good thing because there is the Kindle iPod Device to look at the books but the lap dance from the good looking woman is always a good thing if it leads to the scissoring then all the better of this.

2010-02-22 07:52:05 AM
Can't we find a way to combine the two?

Shatner's Bassoon
In what possible way are those two things connected?

It must be some subtle commentary on British Society. However, I don't see why you can't combine them. I would patronize a titty bar slash library any day.

The strippers' tattoos should provide plenty of reading material.

There are three types of shop in the UK - hairdressers, bookmakers and cell phone shops.

Found it in the non-friction section.

Maybe a British remake of 'Idiocracy' is in order?

300 whole strip clubs? That's 1 for every 200,000 people.

2010-02-22 08:03:25 AM

Dialectic: but they are still british 'cause brit women are the fugly!

I imagine a shiatload of the girls are eastern European.

Post Offices have "gone by the wayside" and this is a very good thing. They were always staffed by miserable coonts and most of their job can be done by the internet.

Bet you wish you'd been more cheerful now, eh, motherfarkers.

Meh. More Daily Fail crap. Its a completely false comparison.

Libraries are paid for by the local taxes. They are decreasing due to the gradual decentralization of information and increase in communication technology, like TEH INTERWEBS!!

Strip clubs are completely seperate things which are privately owned. Why are they blaming Labour for this? Are they saying they WANT the government to interfere with private industry and mould it so strip clubs don't increase, and increase taxes to pay for outdated libraries? That sounds unusually socialist for such a right wing paper.

Daily Fail is just like the hysterical old woman who is sacred of everything and constantly laments the "good old days" and talks about how hoodies, and immigrants are destroying the country!

Well that makes sense. I mean, you can find all manner of books on the INTERNET, but in order to find naked women.... oh ... wait...

/nevermind.

Daily Mail just wants publicly funded strippers. Call your MP to rally for the National Stripper Service.

/Perhaps it would entice me to visit England

My club, Lesbian Librarians A Go-Go, caters to both markets.
