How did they find and prosecute the perps before this was made legal, FBI?

Will the last young person to leave North Dakota due to crummy wages please turn off the lights? Oh, and leave the razor for those who stay behind.

Oh, I don't know about this. I'll bet the hardworking young strippers who stick around will be thankful this law finally got passed.

2003-04-18 12:49:09 PM
How about proposing a new state slogan:

"North Dakota: No, We Don't Have Mount Rushmore. Stop Asking."

2003-04-18 12:54:35 PM
The best thing on CSpan2 in ages.

"There are other parallels, but I will leave these opportunities for humor to cruder imaginations."

Now that's sounds like a challenge issued directly to Farkers. Let's not fail to disappoint!

OK - so this legislation lagged a little. But how many people in ND really have occassion to wear a bikini?

2003-04-18 03:55:05 PM
Mad_Gecko,
they used Bostonian airport security screeners.....

2003-04-18 03:55:14 PM
The vote was passed by a majority of one, thus making it a close shave.

Are we talking brazilian wax or just bikini line wax? There's a big difference as one requires complete nudity and the other can be done in a thong bikini.

2003-04-18 03:59:06 PM
UUUmmmm - Am I the only one who thinks its weird that there was actually a law against bikini waxing in the first place?
Who came up with that - the mayors mom?

2003-04-18 03:59:34 PM
Waxing is legal, bikinis are legal, why can't they make bikini waxing legal?

Oh, they did?

2003-04-18 03:59:53 PM
Please tell me this is some kind of hoax...

If not, let's think about the dialogue at the legislative session that created this kooky law in the first place!

Sounds like somebody's idea of a joke went a little too far...

2003-04-18 04:00:26 PM
Does this mean that I can now FINALLY get my a$$ waxed in ND?

2003-04-18 04:02:48 PM
I think it should be made illegal in all 50 states.

But that's just me.

2003-04-18 04:02:56 PM
No Bush?

2003-04-18 04:03:00 PM

**Hoping to god that the inbred N.D.'s are not dressing up their cows in bikinis**

Knitwit- That's funny shiat

Now, you realize that the laws against waxing were due to the fact that it's cold in ND during certain times of the year, and women need all the insulation they can get...

"Sharon, why is Carol walking so funny?"

"Because her lips are frozen together."

2003-04-18 04:06:21 PM
Actually, Skinink, so are soooo wrong:

2003-04-18 04:10:11 PM
Is removing hair with a sandblaster still legal?

2003-04-18 04:10:34 PM
Here's a very interesting article about the process of getting a brazilian wax. sounds very very painful.

2003-04-18 04:12:49 PM
Remind me never to go there.. The wimmens will be hairy.

Eeesh ugh

2003-04-18 04:16:13 PM
My bet is they went through the process of legislating Bikini Waxing so they could write off all those trips to the strip joint.

2003-04-18 04:24:59 PM
Once again, the age-old saying applies, "The only good thing that comes out of North Dakota is highway 81."

I didn't need to post that. Move on, nothing to see here.

Heh, heh...nads

2003-04-18 04:29:48 PM
Thank you Dattaway for making my day a little less enjoyable.

2003-04-18 04:31:01 PM
By the way Dattaway, I saw that movie that your sister is in. I think it would have been more appropriate had you said, "My sisters hands are in a movie"

2003-04-18 04:33:08 PM
I would like to welcome N.D. to the 20th century, now they are merely a century behind the times, kudos.

2003-04-18 04:39:16 PM
When posting goes bad. I don't know why that filename was linked. That was rough. Please forgive.

2003-04-18 04:42:08 PM
So, it's okay to get a nice wax job, but you can't live in sin? WTF?

2003-04-18 04:49:58 PM
About a month ago the ND legislature voted against repealing their 1950's vintage anti-cohabitation law. I'm waiting for the "living in sin" police to start making midnight raids.

2003-04-18 04:57:44 PM
Ebawb- Why you hate bikini wax so much?

You're right, it is still funny.

2003-04-18 04:59:09 PM
I think it was just last year that up here in Minnesota, they pulled some anti-sodomy law off the books. It was some law that prohibited abnormal sex acts, but I'm not sure on the specifics.

2003-04-18 05:05:32 PM
I think you're right about the sodomy statutes finally being lifted, but not without the Pawlenty crowd talking about "family values" and related crap. I wonder if Tim gets a hummer from his wife. She's pretty nice.

2003-04-18 05:13:00 PM
Absolutben I told you so.

And if you'd clicked on Dattaway's link you would know that it isn't bikini waxing I have a problem with.

2003-04-18 05:15:28 PM
That editorial should be mandatory reading for every state legislator everywhere. The analogy comparing the session to a bikini wax is one of the best I've ever heard.

2003-04-18 05:19:55 PM
wait there was actually a law against this???
hmmm thats almost as bad as the pennsylvania one forbidding women to enhance themselves in any way. no makeup, no fake padding of the body, etc. apparently around the 18th century women were enhancing themselves to such a point, they looked nothing like what they were projecting without it, and men passed a law against it.

2003-04-18 05:26:46 PM
virginia trivia - its illegal to hit your wife with a stick on the courthouse stairs, anywhere else is alright i guess

2003-04-18 05:38:26 PM
Avixxen2

no fake padding of the body

You know whats funny about this I was walking downtown Houston and walked by this storefront. They had this underwear for women that would enhance your arse. I was like wtf now this between wonder bras and this you never know what youre going to get.

2003-04-18 05:45:58 PM
Ebawb- I'm at work, and based on some of the responses to his post it seems best that I don't look at it. Or is it sfw?

2003-04-18 05:57:18 PM
Absolutben ummmmm, yeeaahh it's safe for work. Honest.

2003-04-18 06:08:52 PM
Ebawb- It was sorta sfw I guess. Kinda freaked me out a little though.

2003-04-18 06:24:54 PM
Hey [b]Stubblyhead[/b} (appropriate name...)

According to your article: Paula Yates, the widow of INXS rocker Michael Hutchence, flies over from London to have it done (salons in the U.K. refuse to do it for hygienic reasons).

That ain't right - I went to Salon's in Britain last year and they offered it no problem.... not that I want a Brazilian. I don't mind a trim here and there - and a little off the sides - but I draw the line well before Brazilian.

I'm embarrassing myself here aren't I? Oh well. There's a reason the national animal of Canada is a beaver.
