Cujo might want to think about living outside the State for the remainder of his contract.

2003-04-17 08:55:45 AM
farkin weak man. they really played with no enthusiasm, i dunno what the hell they were doing. the only time they really looked alive was in the 3rd period of games 3 and 4. it seemed like in all the games they could never connect any passes, they just weren't "on". pretty sad.

I guess they couldn't stop the Mighty Ducks and there killer 'V' formation. Didn't Detroit learn anything by watching the disney movie?

2003-04-17 08:59:08 AM
how do articles like this make it to fark, while 100 better ones get nixed? Any jerk can read the sports page, its the hard to find stuff that makes the site interesting, right?

I'm confused by the SAD tag. The only time I care about Red Wings is when it's dark and I have a mouthful of labia.

I will hunt down and cut off the wang (or other convenient body part) of the next person that makes fun of the Wings. Don't believe me?

"Could you hand me my lightsaber? The one that says bad motherfarker?"

Aw who am I kidding. They did terrible. But I'll still cut off somebody's wang.

Frumbehind: it's flamewar fodder, designed to stir up lively debate among the Farkers.

That said, GO LEAFS GO! (except for last night)

well when a team loses one of the best goalies in the league (Hasek) and replaces him with a goalie of average talent (Cujo), you shouldn'r expect much. It was kind of agrivating that every sports caster I heard kept saying that the Wings were going to make a comeback. They obviously didn't see the poor quality of hockey that they brought to the ice every night. (leafs suck)

2003-04-17 09:04:25 AM
GO WINGS! I still love them and they're still the best team in the league (do any of YOUR teams have 8 or 9 future hall-of-famers?) They weren't at the top of their game and the Ducks played well and had some extraordinary good luck.

It's kind of like the best QB in the league (no names, please) not showing up for the Super Bowl. These things just happen sometimes. And we get angry and then we get even no matter how long it takes.

The Ducks have moved up to the level of the Devils and Avs in the "teams I hate" ranking. They get an extra point because of the idiocy of their name and calling their arena a "pond". Hockey= not supposed to be cute.

All you folks laughing can bite me.

2003-04-17 09:05:14 AM
Sing it Wings fans!!!

"You've lost, that winning feeling!!
Oohhh that winning feeling!
You've lost that winning feeling,
Now go home, home, home"

Luv U, bye, bye!!!

2003-04-17 09:05:16 AM
That's it everybody, jump off the bandwagon. I hate idiots that know nothing about hockey yet *love* the Red Wings.

2003-04-17 09:05:29 AM
That's what you get for naming your team after a nasty oral sex act!

/J/k!

pond is an old school term. learn something Cione.

2003-04-17 09:06:07 AM
Right the Red Wings suck. Just like they did last year, morons.

2003-04-17 09:06:22 AM
That was really sad, we just looked flat and lifeless. Like my hair. I see the mouth breathers have already started blaming Cujo for everything, despite the fact that he played well. If you want to blame someone, blame Giguere. He was stellar through all four games. He was stopping really good shots, and barely coughing up any rebounds. He's going to be a goodun'. I'm just worried all the oldsters are going to leave now.

2003-04-17 09:06:41 AM
flamewar, eh?

then why are we talking about this pseudo-sport?

Soccer is where its at! Go United!

[refrains from vomiting]

2003-04-17 09:06:52 AM
Cujo still has a better chance of winning a Stanley Cup than the Leafs.

/go SENS go

2003-04-17 09:07:39 AM
If you'll excuse me, I need to find a tall building to throw myself off.

2003-04-17 09:08:57 AM
No kidding, Giguere is the main reason the wings lost... that and the fact they suck! Go Leafs!

2003-04-17 09:09:23 AM
Thank Buddha the Blues might have a chance now!

2003-04-17 09:09:32 AM
p.s. Sens suck too!

2003-04-17 09:09:38 AM
Cione 8 or 9 future hall-of-famers on Detroit???? Name all of them please

2003-04-17 09:09:44 AM
The Mighty Ducks? Heh.

Hey Detroit, that sound you hear is the entire state of Colorado erupiting in laughter.

I stayed up till 1:30 AM EDT to watch that friggin' game last night. What hope does MI have left for sports teams? Wings - suck
Lions - major suck
Tigers - super major suck
Pistons -- gonna suck in the playoffs w/o Wallace...

Oh the humanity.... I'm moving to Chicago in 3 weeks...oh crap.... well at least there's the cubs & sox

Humbly, I must add another two cents:

GO FLYERS! I wasn't born in 1975, you tools. Win something.

Any other teams have an entire front line appear on the Jury of the Damned in the Simpson's Halloween episode? I don't think so. Fark off with all your Stanley Cups.

i'm not going to get over this fiasco until Flag Day...perhaps Veterans Day.

oh, and i've been a tigers fan for a long time, too, so when it comes to sports teams, i know all about suffering and misery.

2003-04-17 09:12:04 AM
Can anyone outsid of Detroit, Dallas, New Jersey and Colorado even remember what the Stanley Cup looks like?

Remember what happened the last time the Wings lost in the first round? They wont the next season. I suspect more of the same next year. Players like Zettenburg and the other young players have learned what playoffs is like and what it feels like to lose. Detroit might lose Federov and McCarty but the Wings have some of the best young talent coming over from Europe to put some more skill in the lineup.

I hope Luc goes bye-bye also. Federov was horrible last night. He coughed up the puck more often than the Canucks choke in the playoffs. Larinov will be gone also to get some more youth into the lineup.

Red Wings still got to have love for Stevie Y and Lindstrom.

It's not just Cujo. Their whole team looked like they didn't want to win. They should have killed the Ducks.

2003-04-17 09:12:56 AM
Hull
Shannahan
Yzerman
Federov
Lidstrom
Chelios
probably Robataille, but he dosn't deserve it

2003-04-17 09:12:57 AM
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I loathe the farking Red Wings.

2003-04-17 09:13:48 AM
I like alot of the players on that Detroit team, but I think this is a good thing for several reasons... Since 1995, the same 4 teams teams (Detroit, Dallas, NJ, Colorado) have gone to the finals and won the cup. I think it's nice to get some new blood in there once in awhile, not that I think the Ducks are going to win it, but the West is alot more open with the Wings out of the running. I also think it shows that just because you spend a ton of money and make alot of trades at the deadline doesn't mean you can "buy" yourself a cup. You have to have chemistry and play as a team. Detroit looked like they were expecting an easy series and a quick trip back to the cup.

All that being said, I'm a Bruins fan, and the B's don't spend nearly enough money, sign enough free agents, make enough big trades at the deadline to put them over the top, and they played like shiat for the first 3 games against NJ.

But they won at least one more game than Detroit.

Well that's one team I like to see exit early and often.

Go Avs!!

2003-04-17 09:14:40 AM
Cujo is a failure, he was in Toronto, he is in Detroit...get used to it.

2003-04-17 09:15:39 AM
should've used the "yippee" tag

2003-04-17 09:15:53 AM
Nevermind, she changed it....Feh.

But now I'm going to root for the Ducks. So that all of the Flyers,Rangers,Blues,Devils etc fans can see that where the Red Wings couldn't go.

2003-04-17 09:17:15 AM
Looks like its time to find a new team to cheer for in the Western Conference. I can forgive them being swept, but come on, the Mighty Ducks!

This season really sucks. My hometown minor league team also got swept out of the playoffs.

2003-04-17 09:17:48 AM
Chelios is no Hall of Famer...great player, but no way..

2003-04-17 09:18:03 AM
cujo can't shoulder ALL the blame for this fiasco. nobody stepped up for the wings (zetterberg, god bless him, tried real hard). where was brett hull (for example)? was he missing a leg? they didn't win faceoffs. the bounces went elsewhere. plus, giguere - he was a wall.

i hope (fill in next opponent) hangs a ten-spot on that guy...in the first period of game one.

grr. wonder if we can get danny gare, ron duguay (still a player-coach) and greg stefan back?

pardon me while i stick out my tongue at JOHNDX on behalf of Sweater Girl)
