God knows I'm a living contradiction to this headline!
2003-04-17 12:23:37 AM
It's just too bad they're extremely reckless in a car.
2003-04-17 12:24:54 AM
Drinks that smell like booze but wont mess you up? I would be pissed if someone tried to pull the wool over my eyes like that.
2003-04-17 12:25:13 AM
Ever been drunk?!? pissing and puking, can't walk, can't harldy crawl. everything spinning. Yeah, thats control alright!
2003-04-17 12:26:09 AM
I know that (at least these days) I focus too much when I drink. None of my friends can tell when I'm drunk anymore. I used to drink until oblivion, now I drink till oblivion, but no one can tell. At least until I ask them to show me their tits.
2003-04-17 12:26:33 AM
Tucker Max would disagree.

Tucker Max's Stories

F'in hilarious! :-D
2003-04-17 12:26:46 AM
Some drunks might not act as recklessly as I'd think. Some of the other drunks that I know might act more recklessly than I think.

Or I've set my standards for what might constitute drunken recklessness too low?

It's almost unbelievable what some people/students will do while drunk.
2003-04-17 12:26:56 AM
Makes sense. I always drive more carefully when drunk.
2003-04-17 12:28:46 AM
I love the people who have one beer then begin stumbling and rambling about idiotically.....heheh.......posers...........heh
2003-04-17 12:29:21 AM
(it takes me at least 13 to do that)

/i win
2003-04-17 12:29:45 AM
potheads still less wreckless.
2003-04-17 12:29:53 AM
I question their study group.
2003-04-17 12:30:01 AM
Lies, lies, lies!!!!
2003-04-17 12:31:09 AM
MikeWeath That's what you think...
2003-04-17 12:31:35 AM
alcohol just makes you do things you wanted to do but needed an excuse.
2003-04-17 12:31:38 AM
i would like to agree with the tucker max stories disagreeing, this one in particular
2003-04-17 12:32:25 AM
Tucker max isn't reckless. He always seems to know what hes doing.
Well kinda.
2003-04-17 12:32:35 AM
Easy way to counterprove.
Put men in room with ugly skinny chicks, or fat cute chicks.
Send in group one - sober men.
Send in group two - drunk men.
Methinks impulsive hooking up with the less desirables will occur.

Equal opportunity - do same thing, reverse sex roles. Im sure women suffer from the beer goggles too.

/goes to hide.
2003-04-17 12:33:23 AM
Tucker Max needs needs an editor. His stuff is so poorly written.
2003-04-17 12:33:25 AM
It's called a sad drunk, and I'm one of them.

Basically, you get philosophical and shiat. You're aware that you're drunk, and so know you shouldn't be driving. And after a while, you just want to go the hell to sleep.
2003-04-17 12:34:24 AM
Does the Newsweek cover at the bottom of that page look like a giant pointed penis to anyone else?
2003-04-17 12:35:22 AM
I love fat cute chicks, but I'll taqke ugly skinny chicks.
2003-04-17 12:37:01 AM

One of my friends always says "Fat Chicks Need Lovin, Too!"

Quagmire would add "But they gotta pay."

Of course, you may have to figure in the fact that many girls just use alcohol as an excuse to act impulsivly, rather than alcohol actually causing them to act impulsivly...

ps. Why is the word "co-ed" still around?
2003-04-17 12:41:15 AM
Yeah, I'm a 'goofy' drunk. I become loud and boisterious but not rude or anything like that. It's neat to observe how everyone responds differently when intoxicated.
2003-04-17 12:43:00 AM
DAMN STRAIGHT!!!...and Tuggers and me will fight anyone who disagrees!!
2003-04-17 12:43:28 AM
is it me or, when you're hammered, sound like a load of fun?
2003-04-17 12:44:04 AM
can you say hawthorne effect?

aside from that, alcohol, like any other drug, affects one based on several different things: percentage of body fat, mood, diet, etc.

so you wouldn't be wrong by choosing to completely disregard this study.
2003-04-17 12:44:07 AM
People who get teh drunk are more recjliss than yo kin expekt glugggg flish...
2003-04-17 12:45:31 AM
sorry....going for a drive when you're hammered sound like a good time.
2003-04-17 12:46:08 AM
Try telling that to my dad, who was in the accident caused by the drunk who got shtfaced and went driving and killed my mom...
2003-04-17 12:46:29 AM
Jeebus, if you can't act recklessly and irresponsibly, what's the point of gettting drunk?
2003-04-17 12:47:16 AM
I wonder what kind of 'impulsive decisions' you can make in a laboratory, anyway...
2003-04-17 12:49:00 AM

I remember when cruising around with a couple of buddies and a case of beer was good clean fun.

*goes back to watching Matlock*
2003-04-17 12:49:40 AM

Hmm...I wonder if this Hydrochloric Acid has any alcomohol in it...
2003-04-17 12:50:41 AM
Cerejaninja: The kids on the bus have never complained about my driving.
2003-04-17 12:50:44 AM
Give you five bucks to drink it.
2003-04-17 12:51:58 AM
Drunks may not act as recklessly as you'd think

Now, old people on the other hand...
2003-04-17 12:53:35 AM
i've been hit twice by them reckless oldies.
2003-04-17 12:53:37 AM
now if the driver was drunk and had been blinded by a frog...that'd be totally wrong.
2003-04-17 12:57:16 AM
Oh, posh.
2003-04-17 12:57:31 AM
Wait a minute... (Smoke emanates from ears due to hard thinking)...
If old people drive terribly (hmm...)
and alcohol helps you drive (umm...)
[light bulb over head] Eureka!
The logical conclusion to come to is that old people will drive better drunk.
2003-04-17 12:59:01 AM
drunks are smrat.. *hic*
2003-04-17 12:59:19 AM

Drunk drivers don't kill people...accelerated amphibians do!!

(should I have said Freedom Amphibians?)
2003-04-17 01:02:35 AM
Grrrrr....accelerated FREEDOMS.

(typing while intoxicated)
2003-04-17 01:04:11 AM
It's hard to be impulsive, when the only thing you can concentrate on is keeping the yellow line to the left, and the white line to the right.
2003-04-17 01:05:21 AM
and your drink from spilling....
2003-04-17 01:05:44 AM
hah! say that after I pee on your dog, puke in your bed, and throw your couch off the balcony
2003-04-17 01:08:46 AM
then there was the time when i bribed a mexican cab-driver to let me drive back to the border after a 12 hour 2-fer-1 99 margarita binge.

dude...i'm sure the tijuana dumpsters didn't feel as bad as i did the next morning.
2003-04-17 01:10:25 AM
DerekSD - i hope you were joking, but if you weren't...

say that after you've had thousands of dollars worth of court and legal fees.

blah. that is all.
