I've noticed that recently. To be fair though, this (and another recent story invovling a couple of unidentified black chicks) weren't from newspapers, but copy from local television news stations. TV newsreaders can't say 'bra strap' without getting visibly uncomfortable and the writers dumb everything down to the point that you really have no idea what the hell they're talking about anyway.
Unless it's weather. They'll spend 12 minutes telling you how warm it will get today.
