The best part about all of this is when the Royals outfielder was beating the guy in the head with the ball. He actually dropped it at one point and picked it back up to beat him with it more.

what is it about Chicago?
is the beer too cheap? are front row seats too cheap?
most sporting facilities have more expensive seats down low, which tends to keep the hillbillies a bit further away from the field.

I notice one of the players waited until the guy was completely pinned before he stomped him with his spikes. coward.

Chicago rules, Denver is the home of the Mullet

Nah, the best part is that the guy picked an ex-marine to jump on.

Do something about your long, filthy hair
It looks like a rat's nest
Do something about your mullet
Get out the hair clippers, jerk

Cut the mullet (4)

Get the rat's nest off your head
Get that crazy-ass mother off your skull
Take your ass to the barber shop
Tell the barber that you're sick of looking like an asshole

Cut the mullet (4)

The mullet is the reason why people hate you
They are sick of looking at your nappy weed-sack
Nobody wants to look at you with that mullet on your head
Why don't you cut that mullet, you numbskull

Cut the mullet (4)

And this was a problem because....?

I run out onto a major league baseball field taking on a member of a club that has as it's members guys who are bigger and faster and more of everything than me and I don't get my arse beaten to an inch of my life, then I got off damn lucky.

f*ck no.

are front row seats too cheap?
nope.

ah, but not the w-h-i-t-e t-r-a-s-h.

You should see the specimens at Blackhawks games. And THOSE are expensive tickets/concessions.

At least the Eagles fans had the professional courtesy to beat the $hit out of fellow fans, not the guys on the field.

Then again, try beating up a defensive line coach and see the ensuing smackdown. THAT would be funny.

The current Royals, sad to say, are p.ussies. This kind of shiat would never happen if George Brett were still on the team. He would grab the fan, cover him in pine tar, and feather him.

Actually, Brett was so tough, he even got some action on the field...

The White Sox are fun to watch. One big fat embarassment after another! That's why I live on the Northside and hang my hat at The Friendly Confines.

We don't need to get them back for attacking our ivy last year...they get themselves back.

2003-04-16 05:15:03 PM
The Superfans weap. The Superfans were not Sox fans.

On another note. About 5 years ago, a guy I know jumped out of the stands at the brewers old stadium (County Stadium) and tackled Bill Spiers, injuring his neck. I believe he spent five months in jail for that.

2003-04-16 05:15:51 PM
Perhaps they should have a judge on site to distribute fines and jail time...kind of like...some other...sports team...

The Cubbies are doing awesome this year under Dusty! Hell, they're winning 10-2 RIGHT NOW! They're first in their division. Where are the Sux?

And our fans don't embarass baseball!

Name All of the baseball players that worked at the powerplant, and their fates
1. Roger Clemens- Thought he was a chicken because of hypnosis gone awry
2. Ken Griffey Jr.- Got Gigantism from Mr. Burn's tonic
3. Steve Sax- Imprisoned by the Springfield PD for unsolved murders in New York
4. Jose Canseco- Hospitalized with burns from rescuing a lady's stuff from her burning house.
5. Darryl Strawberry- Nothing happened to him. Except that mr burns benched him in the last inning in favour of Homer (who got hit in the head with a pitch)
6. Ozzie Smith- Fell into oblivion
7. Wade Boggs- got in a bar fight with Barney over who was Britain's greatest prime minister.
8. Don Mattingly- Thrown off the team for not cutting his "sideburns"
9. Mike Soscia- Hospitalized with severe radiation poisoning from working in the plant.

Give the Royals potato guns and a bunch of frogs. Blind those damn Sox fans.

2003-04-16 05:39:26 PM
Those aren't Sox fans - they're suburbanites (from Bolingbrook, Blue Island and Alsip, for crying out loud).

ECS,

Sox are in second place. Not too shabby so far. As for Cubs fans not embarassing baseball, remember a little incident where one of them assaulted a Dodgers pitcher in the bullpen? Really, there's plenty of idiocy to go around.

Oh, and I'm happy for Cubs fans that the team is doing well so far. You guys are due just as much as we are (curses 1994 and pounds a fist into the ground).

What's the deal here? Is there a longstanding rivalry between the White Sox and Royals that I don't know about?

I could understand Red Sox fans beating up Yankees, but White Sox fans beating up umpires during Royals games? Must be some mind control experiment by the government.

2003-04-16 05:46:14 PM
ECS,

You just jinxed them as the Reds are making a comeback in the ninth. Thanks.

2003-04-16 05:46:32 PM
I notice one of the players waited until the guy was completely pinned before he stomped him with his spikes. coward.

Bah. Get the guy pinned, then beat him to death with a baseball bat. It might deter some idiots if they think that a pissed off player will use their heads for batting practice.

Wasn't it Mike Curtis of the Colts who (in the 60s) nailed some jackass who ran onto the field and grabbed the ball?

ECS,

you are forgiven, they pulled it off. Go Cubbies!

2003-04-16 06:03:00 PM
I was watching the Tigers-White Sox doubleheader when I was a kid, when the second game at Comiskey was forfeited, following Disco Demolition Night between games. They blew up a bunch of 45s in center field, and the white trash couldn't control their glee, rushing the field and rioting.

Those people are the dads of the people doing this crap now.

2003-04-16 06:03:41 PM
Point of order - the Dodgers stormed the fans at the Cubs game, not the other way around. Now, on to the funny-

"HEY MAW - Go get the shoes! The dadgum Roy-als are in town and they won't lets us into the ballpark without 'em! what?
No! Leave the teeth, you'll just get em all grassy!"

2003-04-16 06:04:44 PM
I'd say the rivalry in the Central is gonna be Twins and Royals fans v. Indians and White Sox fans.

The Royals and Indians have something brewing thanks to that dick Milton Bradley.

The Royals and Sox will have another rivalry brewing if the Royals refuse to play tonight or something like that.

as for the Tigers, they have no fan support anyways. :)

But Eagles fans booed Santa. That'll be talked about for another 30 years, while these stories are conveeeniently forgotten. This shiat happens everywhere, but all we hear is how bad they are in Philly. It's a conspiracy to keep us down.

/being serious

/well, not really

2003-04-16 07:00:00 PM
Farkin pale blue sissies! A couple of inbreds run on the field and these, "athletes" get all scared! Why in my day fans were supposed to streak the field. Why once in a game at the polo grounds I had my testicles removed by, "Wee" WIllie Keeler, after I tackled him during the second game of a double header!

Please. Your devotion lies with a team that has no reason to win - you still pack the park anyways.

Real fans can boo their own team.

2003-04-16 08:06:06 PM
I don't think there was any doubt the Royals weren't going to play (it'll be another easy win). The last 2 games they've played there:

A. Their coach was beaten, and still has complications from it 9 months later

B. 4 fans run onto the field, and one attacks an ump

What's next? A player? Mike Sweeney out for the year because some guy stabs him?

It was more of a PR by the Royals management telling the White Sox to get there shiat together.

I heard today the MLB is considering a plan to put plex glass type barrier around all MLB parks kind of like Hockey

It's funny how none of you seem to mention or realize that the Chicago coach also threatened to not take the field if security wasn't tighter.

What was that about an easy win?
