Bobby Knight even halted his "best ______ of the _____" stream of bullshiat "color commentary" long enough so that Brent Mustyfurburger could ask "WTF was THAT?"

It may be the ugliest I've seen today only because I've not yet shot any baskets today.

It can only be the ugliest if it was shot by a WNBA player (pick pretty much any of them)

klymen yeah Ive got a Cavs game ahead of me tonight so Im pretty sure I will be seeing a few from him...and if you havent seen him shoot lately he, apparently, has gotten better.... wow.

I almost thought he did it to make fun of how terrible UT is at free throws. One of the worst in the NCAA. They have guys that shoot better from three than they do from the stripe.
They shot 37% from the line against Oklahoma the other day and lost. That's bad.

You know, call me crazy, but I've actually found myself enjoying the Musburger/Knight combo this year. Musburger is obvious (have to admit I have a soft spot for him), but Knight really does know a lot about the game of basketball, and it shows when he's commenting on the game action. He's great at picking up on things happening during the game and pointing out what a team is doing right/needs to do better. Example, from last nights game, pointing out that Aldrich was too slow making moves in the lane to the basket and getting shut down by the Texas D. Not exactly ground breaking stuff of course, but better than you get from most color guys.

Sure he needs practice filling dead air, and probably that's not ever something he'll be good at anyway, just because he's Bob Knight, but overall I'm liking the combo.

I laughed good and hard when Morningstar did that last night. Of course, it would not have been quite as funny had KU not been up by 13 at the time.

When I was younger a kid on my team missed the backboard....wide right. Many suicides were run.

jayhawk88: You know, call me crazy, but I've actually found myself enjoying the Musburger/Knight combo this year.

My friends and I were very comfortable watching it at a bar with the sound off. I think that might have more to do with Musberger than Knight, but in any case it's a combo I'm not liking.

I remember Charles Shackleford's first free throw as a college player at NC State. It came about 2 feet shy of the rim, against Kansas in the Greensboro Coliseum.

Charles was probably better known for this: he was the player that was right handed and once made a shot left handed. When he was asked about it by a reported after the game he said, "yeah I'm amphibious like that."

I expected the shot to be from this game, but I assumed it would be one of the Longhorns and their 58% team shooting.

Dudley got fouled, stepped to the line and missed both shots. NBD. But the ref called a lane violation on a Bullets guard, so Dudley shot a third. Which he missed. Another lane violation (this one by Bullets center Dave Feitl) brought another attempt and another miss (that's four for those counting at home). Amazingly, Feitl was called for another lane violation. And amazingly, Dudley missed his fifth and final (of the series) free throw attempt, becoming the first player to miss five free throws in one trip.

But that was not his worst moment. This (new window) is his worst moment

I wish Chris Dudley was on the Knicks. That would mean they were competitive again (think 2000 season).

*checks the NBA Standings*

19-31. Blechhhh. At least we aren't New Jersey. 4-46?! HOLY SHIAT!

Knight is the most enjoyable announcer in any sport currently on air and that's because he actually knows the game as well as if not better than any coach out there.

I was stuck in class and had to watch it on Tivo, but it was well worth it. and you should consider yourself lucky you didnt have to listen to Bob Knight. I can't honestly say I wouldn't rather hear Tim McCarver

Was guessing that's where you was at. Our Longhorn friends bolted at halftime.

Different sport, but hell no on McCarver. He's the worst ever.
