That's going to be a really long movie. And the first 1/3 of it will just be him sitting in coach.

I'm sure the subby meant: In other news, THEY'RE RUNNING OUT OF LOCATIONS

I'll only watch if it guest stars Dick Cheney as a terrorist.

Has the character noticed that once a year, everything goes to hell for 24 hours?

2010-02-09 11:24:43 AM
Dammit, I was hoping he was going to bite it at the end of the 8th season.

2010-02-09 11:25:06 AM
If they don't pick up the pace in this next episode, I'm not going to watch any more.

Until the next episode.

If Jack Bauer was gay, he'd be Chuck Norris.

Wait...am I missing something? I always just assumed that the show was popular thanks to its "hour-to-hour over twentyfour hours" gimmick...

Won't the movie need to be 24 hours long?

Or am I missing the appeal of the show?

/personally, the show has always seemed like fearmongering to me
//but then again I am very, very scared

IIRC, some of the guys from 24 are also involved in the Mitch Rapp movie Consent to Kill (^)

Rumor had it a long time ago that Mitch Rapp was going to be introduced during a season of 24 and have a spin-off. I'm glad they're making him a full-fledged movie character instead. And if you have no idea what I'm talking about and are a fan of 24, I highly recommend picking up all of Vince Flynn's (^) books.

The first hour of the movie will taken up by the 3S's needed every morning. Then he'll eat breakfast, have coffee and read the paper for the second.

/It'll be riveting

Maybe the movie will be called "2"

Well THAT just spoiled the rest of the season.

For all of you that are (or will) say that the season just got spoiled, I think you fail at reading comprehension. Nowhere did it say a thing about this season. All it said was that the movie "will proceed when the tv show comes to an end".

I'm hoping it's a prequel and focuses on the Drazen mission and what happened to Stephen Saunders.

She's bloated and boring now. I perked up when I saw her on this season, but then I took another look and was disappoint.

Are they even in New York this season? Stargate Studios could put them anywhere in the world and we'd never know they were all sitting in Keifer's hottub in LA. I lost faith when I saw on the Stargate demo reel how 24 looked like they were outdoors in DC but were actually inside a studio.

It takes Jack Bauer 24 episodes to solve a crisis that most other action TV heroes would solve in one episode.

Will this be a remake of National Lampoon's European Vacation?

They were going to have him on the mooon, but it takes more than 24 hours just to get there.

schattenteufel: It takes Jack Bauer 24 episodes to solve a crisis that most other action TV heroes would solve in one episode.

Yes, but they don't have incredibly lame subplots involving horse-faced actresses whose ex-boyfriends show up for no reason but to drag out the story.

Man that would be cool, but Dennis Hopper is on his deathbed, and Kiefer ain't exactly a spring chicken.

Yeah, this subplot is about as lame as it gets.

1 Change your name and get a job requiring a security clearence... you know they check for these kinds of things.
2 When the ex-boyfriend showed up, the smart move would be to get into a fight, let him win, have sex, shoot him between the eyes and claim rape.
3 then getback to work saving Jack!

jeeze, does Cloe have to do everything?

lame, but Im still watching.

Am I the only one who stopped watching this lame-ass show halfway into the first season? This whole show seems like the writers sat down & said "okay, so what would it be like if everyone in a covert intelligence agency were functionally retarded? Ooo, that's television GOLD baby, run with that idea!"

Isn't this America television? "Okay, so what would it be like if everyone in a [insert location here] were functionally retarded?" Having a hard time coming up with a one hour drama that this doesn't apply to.

This season 24 has finished its decent from ingenious to so bad its brilliant. Last nights episode was friggin' awesome on so many levels but the four mentions of the knife before Rene stabs the villain. I was expecting him to say, "Use the knife you will stab me with to cut me some bread."

I support the idea of 24 being an R rated film for gratuitous nudity. Maybe NC-17?

You know who else tortured people in Europe?

Jack Bauer should go to another planet. 24 on Mars would be fun.

They would have to add another episode; a Martian day is approx. 24 hours, 40 minutes.

They could do the final 40 minutes in slow motion and make it into the movie.

Be THAT guy, Fox. You know you can do it.

Well if a movie takes place in a timeframe beyond this season, then we know Jack lives to see another day filled with terrorists, torture and thigh shooting.

So the 24-hour movie will be speeded up x 12 to make it bladder-friendly, with Yakkity Sax playing constantly and all the characters talking like the Chipmunks.

I'll give it a go.

Actually, the addition of Starbuck to this year's show is the only reason I NetFlixed the hell out of 24 to get caught up on the show, only to be disappointed.

The show is old, formulaic and well past it's due date. Last night, I unceremoniously removed the record timers for "24" from my DVR with nary a tear.

Back to re-watching the entire series of BSG in BluRay. Starbuck with short hair fracking Baltar while screaming Apollo's name, base star with a hundred naked Boomers. What Gods did I please?

From TFA: "it's very feasible to get from Prague to London in the course of a day."

Well, yes, but they only have 2 hours, not 24. I was wondering whether they'd have the movie be 2 hours of real time, or 2 hours of stuff that happens in one 24-hour period.

To be fair, when I submitted the Saw headline and the Gosselin headline, they were far apart in the TF queue.

What a "horse-faced" actress may look like.

My Friend Flicka looks okay in those posed glamour shots. So do fat chicks on dating sites. She's a horse face and worse than that she's a boring horse face, repelling me and putting me to sleep at the same time. Horse. Face. To dislike that horse face is the opposite of gay. Rather, it is a sign of good hetero judgement.

FOX and the showrunners are notorious for deliberately leaking "spoilers" that aren't real, so the actuality is more surprising.

Before Day Five, the official word on Tony Almeida and Michelle Dessler was that "it's a really happy ending." Instead of, you know, explodey ending.

I live in Mr. Flynn's city, well, he actually moved a couple months back to another burb, but I've met him six times (the last few book signings).

The guy has an unbelievable talent for getting his facts right.

When I was in teh suq, all the guys loved his books.

Okay, I take it all back. That was even better than Season 3's "Vampire Jack" escape.

That made me laugh with joy.

Digital Spy forgot last season was in DC.

Also, I guess this confirms Jack doesn't die this season. Too bad.
