Our dogs love the dog park. Ours is 10 acres of muddy bliss.

My dogs do not like the dog parks around here. Most of the dogs they meet there have no manners.

Both our dogs are rescues. If I hear one more story about someone getting a dog without having enough time, interest, or awareness of the breed I will kick some ass.
Our Mastiff was afraid of hairbrushes, brooms, and women when we got him.

That is nicer then the people parks near me. The dogs don't really care one way or the other, but the owners enjoy it,I'm sure.

this would be cool wif my dog could swim... poor thing just sinks then stares up at you from the bottom of said water...

City people shouldn't have dogs.
Unless they have those little yappy cat-like ankle-biter ones.

/so sick of going to a restaurant and some biatch is there with her farking dog chained to the chair.
//worse than pigeons.

I don't think this is very fair. I pooped on a beach in Florida once and I got yelled at.

Sounds like a girl I dated once. And yes, you could lighten up a little, Francis.

My Shepherd has a medical problem that flares up ocassionally and everytime it does he gets that look like ok, you're getting rid of me now, right? He was surrendered 3 times because his owners didn't want to deal with it. I would love to kick some ass with you.

Since this is Tampa I was surprised not to see a provision for lap dances at the park.

It's a nice little dog beach, but it's scary. Across the water, not very far away, are huge industrial plants spewing whatever kind of waste into the air (and water? who knows). Consequently, it's not a pretty place to be... but that's how dog parks usually are.

I don't take my dog because I can't get her to stop drinking the nasty water. Yes, I give her fresh water, and she drinks it, but she really likes that salty industrial waste taste I guess. The after effects are not pretty...

These things are a big hit until the secret gets out.

Dogs will come by the hundreds. Then the thousands. Until all the water has been replaced by dogs. There will be an ocean of dogs. A tide of yap that will crash to the moon and bay with it equally. Gulls will be culled from the air by violently wagging Sargassum and succumb as limp playthings to a mesh of bad breath. Rocks will not skip on this ocean. Biscuits even less. Painters' hands will become very tired.
My friend, talk to me when you've parted the ocean with a vacuum cleaner for a copy of the Daily Growl.

Baldwin Park in Orlando has a really nice dog park with a lake. There is a sign, however, implying that there may be gators in the water and your dog may become steak.

Here's mine at Ft. Funston (he's got mixed feelings about the beach, too many dogs and his bed isn't down there)

Would love to take my Shepherd there. But he only likes to attack other dogs and protect my son and the house. He could care less about me.

I think the previous owner was attacked by a pit and The Maj killed him. But in the end, she had to get rid of him.

Greatest dog...just not around other dogs.

I used to live on Davis Island and have been to that park a few times. It's suprisingly isolated considering how close it is to downtown Tampa.

my Shar Pei think water is the equivalent of molten lava. We have a dog park here that consists of an empty weed infested field covered with dog crap and idiots with unneutered pitbulls. I got spoiled when I lived in the Bay Area. At least people there pick up after their dogs and behave civilly.

The local beaches which allow animals get closed every couple months due to high bacteria counts in the water. The city still hasn't figured out the connection between dog crap and unhealthy swimming:

Love Happy's stubby little pegs - he looks like an aptly named pooch.

I am sad that I never got a chance to take my little old lady Lab to the ocean - she would have totally dug it (RIP Jody).

We took the pooches to this place last year and the pups had a blast.

I am excited to learn that dog-friendly beaches exist in Florida! I was never able to find much information about them online but I guess I was searching incorrectly.....

We took our dog with us last April when we went to the beach. You have never seen a more miserable animal in your life, I was so disappointed. Bulldogs don't really dig the 'beach scene', man.

I do not believe we have dog parks here in lovely Painesville OH. Closest one is the other side of town. So I'll just drag my two to the Metroparks so the local joggers can slide around in their mess.
