That article has nothing to do with Chopra's nonsense views about health. It's entirely political, and says only "Chopra doesn't like Palin and loves Obama. He sucks."

Also, if you're going to write about how stupid someone is and call yourself a thinker, you might want to check your spelling.

Paraphrasing: "Chopra's spiritual positions are so screwed up and backwards that he sounds positively Christian."

The is no greater offense to a teabagger than disliking Sarah Palin.

Whatever, dude. I sleep soundly knowing it was my positive thoughts to the Universe that let the Saints win yesterday.

the secret... it works. For example, today i'm making it my mission to get a Black Angus steak sammich from Quiznos.

We'll see if i drive myself there at lunch time.

I thought that headline was the most convoluted piece of crap I'd ever read, but then I read the actual article.

Wow. They picked the only two quotes where Deepak Chopra doesn't sound like an idiot I've ever read (though he lays it on a bit thick when describing Obama), and then don't even argue against the points that he makes.

This publication is for stone idiots. And it's even written by a guy named "Moran".

You know, I didn't even have to R the whole FA, and I had a sneaking suspicion that's what this was about. I think the raving ad hominem gave it away.

I find it funny that "American Thinker" encourages people not to...

I hoped it might be such an article about how ridiculous and laughable Chopra is, but then I saw it was an American Thinker link, and figured it was one long rant about how liberal he is.

American Thinker is a misnomer. How did it escape from the politics tab.

It really deserves it's own tab. File under Retard.

I was so intrigued with this quantum mechanics that Deepak refers to over and over and over again in his books, that I decided to take a class in it.

And what I found is-Deepak Chopra is full of shiat!

My grandparents for years were neighbors to Deepak Chopra, and only moved away about two years ago. They told me that, although they found his theories ridiculous (my grandfather was a reputed neuroscientist), he was a charming person and actually very nice. To the point that my grandfather was okay Chopra coming to him for consultations about how the brain worked, so that what Chopra wrote in his books was just a little bit less unscientific.

/yes, I know, getting a kick

Silly people. Everyone knows you don't make unicorns just by thinking them. It's a simple, patented process.

2010-02-08 03:04:04 PM
That was a shiatty article. I hate articles that simply say "how stupid" and "I could engage this drivel, but not now". Why not simply say "Chopra's view of 'growing up' is different than the Constitution prescribes. Palin's perspective is that of a Constitutionalist who believes in small government; Chopra obviously would like to see our federal government as a father figure."

And also: Hey Chopra! EABOD LOL MORAN LOOOSER>!!!!!!

The only way to respond to that kind of idiocy is when fortified with strong drink and a couple of aspirins to ward off the illogical nostrums of this Mahareshi of Mendacity.

Ok, Deepak Chopra is an idiot. American Thinker is neither.

That said, the Bill of Rights protecting the rights of foreigners on American soil is a legal fact as determined by Supreme Court precedent.

Constitution applies to detainees, justices say. (new window)

I'm not sure on the confusion here. When the Constitution means 'citizens only', it specifies citizens. Most of the time it just uses the word 'persons', meaning everyone gets it.

We don't extend rights to bad guys because they deserve them. We give rights to bad guys because WE AREN'T THEM.

Yeah, I don't believe that so many people are actually confused. They know that the Constitution applies to foreigners, they just choose to ignore that fact.

Rincewind53: //Just pointing out that being a kook doesn't make one a terrible human being.

It does when being a kook results in you providing harmful medical advice to the ignorant.

I'm sure he's nice enough, and I'm even sure he means well. But it's irrelevant what his intent is. The bottom line is, what he does is harmful, and he should know better.

Had to stop reading at the racist 'fakir.' How can you take a person's point seriously if he or she resorts to such a low. Basically, he's saying: Chopra's brown, so not really an American.

While I agree entirely with the tagline, I question that American Thinker or any member of its staff is really in any kind of position to throw stones there.

Chopra vs Palin, ick. I would pay per view for a fight between the two if it could somehow be arranged that they both died at the end.
