Well, if you come to the table using the same enthusiasm you used during the production of the Ghostbusters game... then it's gonna suck ass.

BKITU: Vy am I drippings vit goo?

Exactly. Peter MacNicol was hilarious in that movie.

/eh, vy are you came for?

Bill just keeps getting more bitter as the years go by.

Best line he had

"Evrything your doing is just wrong"

Bill Murray, Bill Murray....Oh yeah, I remember him. He USED TO be funny or something.

/I REMEMBER NOW, he was the answer on a Trivial Pursuit card

2010-02-08 12:31:33 PM
"Hey, Pete Venkman from 'World of the Psychic!' That used to be one of my two favorite shows!"
"Really? What was the other one?"
"Bass Masters. It's a fishing show"

IdBeCrazyIf: "Evrything your doing is just wrong"

I'd forgotten about that line. Great, now I want to watch Ghostbusters II.

The only other movie I remember Vigo from was In the Mouth of Madness. He was a creepily decent actor.

His Wes Anderson films disagree with you.

Of course, this is Bill Murray...so take it with a big heaping truckload of salt.

I ran into Bill Murray at a convention once. He was a fun guy and we sat in the hotel bar drinking until late into the night. His room was on the same floor as mine so we walked together and I said goodnight and thanked him for the fun time. Later that night someone broke into my room wearing a black balaclava. He tied me to my bed and forcefully raped me for over 2 hours. When he was done he removed his balaclava and revealed he was Bill Murray. He winked at me and said "Nobody will ever believe you".

"Any regrets?"

[pause] "Garfield?"

I think you're thinking of another Bill Murray, because this Bill Murray did the best work of his career in the last decade.

2010-02-08 02:32:58 PM
I do have to admit the scene where he's taking pictures of the Vigo picture is probably the only scene that evoked any kind of laugh from me.

"Ok, you're home from a hard day of raping and pillaging and you're a little grumpy."
"Now! Destroy me! DESTROY ME!"

"I've worked with better... but not many."

2010-02-08 02:35:38 PM
Is this true?

"Vigo the Carpathian, born 1505, died 1610 --"

A hundred and five years? He really hung on, didn't he.

And he didn't die of old age either. He was poisoned, stabbed, shot, hung, stretched, disemboweled, drawn and quartered.

I guess he wasn't too popular at the end there.

The Ghostbusters videogame was Ghostbusters 3. And it was awesome. This movie is not Ghostbusters 3

Considering just how amazing his career has been, that's a bit of an overstatement.

You're both right: It has been the best decade of his life, as an actor. As a comic, he's made a fine transition out of improv and into comic acting, his best years of sketch comedy and improv are behind him.

As people have hinted at, Murray wasn't funny in Ghostbusters II. Peter MacNicol was funny in Ghostbusters II. MacNicol has an amazing number of classically funny scenes for someone who has had about 5 comedies: Adams Family Values, Ghostbusters II, and Bean.

Murray's been in more comedies but MacNicol's funniest scenes are on a far higher plane than Murray's.

Soon it will be midnight and the city will be mine and Vigo's. Well... mainly Vigo's.

If Bill Murray plops his ass down on your toilet you better get the plunger ready.

He BEEFS.

He'll drop 5 or 6 forearm-sized logs in there with no flushes in between. Rumor has it that on the set of "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou" he used to shiat in the shower and heel it down the drain.

I don't. He started strong but there was a while where his career was pretty embarrassing.

Obviously you haven't seen Osmosis Jones, Garfield 1, Garfield 2, and Charlies Angels.

Acting wise, the 90s do it for him. What About Bob?, Groundhog Day, Kingpin, Rushmore, and Cradle Will Rock are better than Lost in Translation and a few Wes Anderson movies along with the bundle of fail I've already mentioned.

Oh sure you call it rape, but I did not hear your childhood saying no. And would you look at the way it dresses, sitting there all innocent like in that short skin tight nostalgia and those wistfull longing heels. Why if that does not just scream fark me now I don't know what does. You call it rape, but we really know that your childhood begged for it.
