Damned.

Cute.

Remember, if they have a down year next year, it's because of Drew Brees' f@&*#ing kid.

ah yes, taking a que from the Sarah Palin strategy book on exploiting your children for populist gain, but only if you do it, if the media tries anything, its wrong!!

I rooted for the colts in a half hearted kind of way, but that's pretty cool for everyone involved.

Still, Saints fans are going to be x100 insufferable next year in sunday threads.

What the hell are you talking about. Stop ruining a potentially good thread about a star and his kid.

His father won the Super Bowl. I think Brees wanted to show his son his accomplishment and not a failure though he probably won't remember anything. Compare that to Sarah Palin who is a quitter and a failure.

You are joking, right?
We are talking someone celebrating a sports victory with his son as compared to someone trying to garner public and political support by trotting out the kids. But is showing your family equate exploiting them? That would be a ridiculous stance.

You know im really sorry but i couldnt stop laughing at this. The guy brings his kid on the field with Earphone/protectors or whatever they are called that are used for protecting your ears when working near Jets and airplanes.

The whole time hes whispering to his kid.

Dumbass you might have just won the superbowl but your kid cant hear shiat.

I don't see how it would be possible for them to be worse than they were in the two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl.

Or he'll grow up spoiled and bitter that the greatest moment of his life occurred before he was one year old. The fact that he had a bit-part in this greatest moment will gnaw at his every sober moment, as he tries to kill the pain with ever-increasing debauchery and substance abuse.

/probably not ... he seems to have great parents who'll raise him well.

Possibly not, but I'm sure the kid could still see his lips moving if nothing else to know Brees was talking to him.

This definatly goes down as touching and cool, sharing a moment with a kid is a lot different than exploiting them for political or financial gain.

You realize that moment wasn't for the kid, that was for the Dad, right? The kid is 1, its not like it understood a word he was saying even if he could hear him. It doesn't make him any less of a badass dad for being close to his kid at the moment he's dreamed about for the last 20+ years of his life.

I Said: Drew Brees is the greatest guy in America.

Yes, yes he is.

I was holding my son who is just a couple of months older than Brees's throughout the fourth quarter and after the game because he feel asleep on me from sheer exhaustion. I thought it was a very touching moment.

Brees beat Brady, Warner, Favre, McNabb and Manning this year on route to bringing NOLA it's first Lombardi. He can say whatever the hell he wants at this point.

Ummm...maybe by turning in one of the most impressive quarterback performances in the history of the Super Bowl? 32-39, 288 yards and two touchdowns. You're right: he had no part in the outcome of the game.

32 of 39 for 288 yds and 2 TDs, and the completions tied a Super Bowl record. Not one single Saints receiver or running back reached the 100 yard mark for the game (which is mind-boggling in its own right), so there was really no one else on offense to qualify, and as much as Porter's INT all but sealed the win, it's hard to name a guy MVP for one play. The credit for the onside kick goes to the whole unit, IMO. Honestly, I think Sean Payton and Greg Williams deserve the most credit. Their game plan and play-calling were stellar.

Of course it was ment to be, that is what the script called for.

With the amount of money that Drew Brees makes, it is very possible that those were some sort of electronic sound protection headphones too. They quiet the background noise and allow normal conversations close by.

Ponzholio: I would like to point out that the Saints were unable to beat the Chiefs this year...

Man a Chiefs Super Bowl win would piss off a lot of people. Just look at how disparaging everyone was towards Colts fans this year (the "fat lumps" on KSK, etc.). Maybe it wouldn't be as bad because they don't have a player like Manning that's on every other commercial, but KC is far too flyover country for people to rally behind them as any kind of "lovable loser." At most, you'd get a lot of references to a mildly humorous Snickers commercial from like 15 years ago (who r teh chefs? LOLZERSKATES!).

Fark em, it would be fantastic. Too bad they're still the Chiefs.

Completions is a BS stat. You can earn completions at the same time that you lose yards.

Not saying that Brees played bad, he played rather well, actually, but he wasnt the MVP because he didnt need to be. AS you said, the whole team, and the staff, were amazing.

Check out the amazing performance by The Who during the Super Bowl XLIV Halftime Show here.

What the hell was so amazing about it? That they managed to make it through 12 minutes without falling out?
