"He has ignored our history and our heritage, arrogantly declaring to the world that we are no longer a Christian nation. He's elevated immorality to a new level, setting aside the entire month of last June to celebrate gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender pride...He has apologized to the Arab world for our past, subjugated our national sovereignty by bowing down to the king of Saudi Arabia. He has pursued a socialist agenda by taking control of private companies and pushing a national health-care plan with a public option. Backed by a willing Congress, he has bought off our senators and our representatives with our own money in an effort to mandate this agenda. And when opposed by members of the Senate, he smugly smiled and said, 'I won.'"

The best way to prove that you are a Real American is to advocate a coup. Nothing says "I love the constitution" like suspending it in order to install a theocracy.

Does this mean I can start twittering on twitter about the new revolution in the USA? What color should I make my armband be this time around? Do I need to trade in my Union money for the Amero? Does this mean I finally get my zombie apocalypse? Or should I just plan on getting bombed straight to hell since I live so close to an REDACTED in the REDACTED that hosts THE REDACTED.

When they begin their armed revolution, I wonder what their first target is going to be? It should be a high-value target, with maximum damage.

The Pentagon is probably too well protected, so my guess is that it will be the new World Trade Center, seeing as it is going to be 1776 feet tall it will have important symbolism considering the first Tea Party revolution was in 1776.

Well, no longer matters what an individual teabagger's subjective belief about what the purpose of the movement was. Palin, Tancredo, and Moore have now successfully defined them all. Good luck!

I can only hope the Tea Party thrives and becomes a pure political party. If it can attract all the religious, racist nutjobs away from the Republicans the Repubs might be worth voting for again sometime in the future.

Of course, they'll get destroyed by the Democrats after they're split which is why they are actively pandering these nut jobs and using throw-aways like Palin to do it.

"He has ignored our history and our heritage, arrogantly declaring to the world that we are no longer a Christian nation.

Let's see what Thomas Jefferson has to say on the subject:

Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined and imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity.
-Thomas Jefferson, Notes on Virginia, 1782

But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.
-Thomas Jefferson, Notes on Virginia, 1782

Question with boldness even the existence of a god; because if there be one he must approve of the homage of reason more than that of blindfolded fear.
-Thomas Jefferson, letter to Peter Carr, August 10, 1787

I never submitted the whole system of my opinions to the creed of any party of men whatever in religion, in philosophy, in politics, or in anything else where I was capable of thinking for myself. Such an addiction is the last degradation of a free and moral agent.
-Thomas Jefferson, letter to Francis Hopkinson, March 13, 1789

In every country and in every age, the priest has been hostile to liberty. He is always in alliance with the despot, abetting his abuses in return for protection to his own.
-Thomas Jefferson, letter to Horatio G. Spafford, March 17, 1814

And we end with the high note
Christianity neither is, nor ever was a part of the common law.
-Thomas Jefferson, letter to Dr. Thomas Cooper, February 10, 1814

/OMG!!!! THOMAS JEFFERSON IS A SOCIALIST NEGRO!!! LETS DIG UP HIS BODY AND HANG IT!!! WHO CARES IF HE WROTE THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE HE'S A COMMUNIST!

I was dismissing him. I remember him and his ten commandments BS. Screw him and his theocrat ass.

Reasons I dislike the Tea Party movement at this point.

1. A bunch of Social conservative Homophobes highjacked a Libertarian idea.
2. Have went so far into the stupid that they discredit reasonable and reasoned criticism of the current power structure.
3. Their Racist antics will inhibit 3rd parties for the next 50 yrs.

FYI: The reason Fox gives them so much coverage is so they can be used against any major grassroots movement that pops up. Soon the Teabaggers will do something extremely stupid (possibly even try an assasination attempt on the President). This will be the point Fox, Beck and all pull away from the movement, point out that they argued against violence. Fox has as much invested in the status quo as any major company.

Yes, as opposed to lynching them, like your moral, upstanding Christian teabagger crowd has been wont to do in the past.

He has apologized to the Arab world for our past,

...which has gotten tens of thousands of our soldiers killed for no good reason. But then, they're not related to you, so you don't care.

subjugated our national sovereignty by bowing down to the king of Saudi Arabia.

You're right, that was bad. Should've kissed him instead.

He has pursued a socialist agenda by taking control of private companies and pushing a national health-care plan with a public option.

So, you're willing to be forced to spend half your paycheck to health insurance, as long as it's not given by the eeeeebil gubmint? And you're willing to take the hyperinflation created when pillars of the American economy go under, just to avoid the stank of eeeeeeebil gubmint? You call that patriotism? I call it idiocy.

Backed by a willing Congress, he has bought off our senators and our representatives with our own money in an effort to mandate this agenda.

...and that, boys and girls, is why we now have universal healthcare for every man, woman, and child in America.

Oh, wait...

it would be one thing if these teabaggers we all up in arms when repubs controlled all branches of govt, doing their big spending, big expansion of government. but no.. they only do it when a dems get elected... how much do you wanna bet, that IF repubs take control of things in '10, and '12, and do those same things again, big govt blah blah blah, that all we will hear from the teabaggers is **silence**... Just a bunch of childish, ignorant sore loosers that whine when they dont get their way all the time.

armed insurrection huh?

Cool.

Here's one armed atheist, admittedly a lousy shot, but who can still hit a pumpkin at 300 yards. On a good day.

The day Moore or his ilk, pass laws saying I am not a citizen or do not have rights, or fewer rights than his holey babble beating ignorant barbarian horde, is the day I go hunting.

Tolerance only goes so far. At some point you have to defend yourself.

s1ugg0: "He has ignored our history and our heritage, arrogantly declaring to the world that we are no longer a Christian nation.

Let's see what Thomas Jefferson has to say on the subject:

[snip for brevity]

Thomas Paine, Age of Reason:

I believe in one God, and no more; and I hope for happiness beyond this life.

I believe in the equality of man; and I believe that religious duties consist in doing justice, loving mercy, and endeavoring to make our fellow-creatures happy.

But, lest it should be supposed that I believe in many other things in addition to these, I shall, in the progress of this work, declare the things I do not believe, and my reasons for not believing them.

I do not believe in the creed professed by the Jewish church, by the Roman church, by the Greek church, by the Turkish church, by the Protestant church, nor by any church that I know of. My own mind is my own church.

All national institutions of churches, whether Jewish, Christian or Turkish, appear to me no other than human inventions, set up to terrify and enslave mankind, and monopolize power and profit.

I do not mean by this declaration to condemn those who believe otherwise; they have the same right to their belief as I have to mine. But it is necessary to the happiness of man, that he be mentally faithful to himself. Infidelity does not consist in believing, or in disbelieving; it consists in professing to believe what he does not believe.

It is impossible to calculate the moral mischief, if I may so express it, that mental lying has produced in society. When a man has so far corrupted and prostituted the chastity of his mind, as to subscribe his professional belief to things he does not believe, he has prepared himself for the commission of every other crime. He takes up the trade of a priest for the sake of gain, and in order to qualify himself for that trade, he begins with a perjury. Can we conceive any thing more destructive to morality than this?

Paine then proceeds to trash the Bible.

So why not trash the Qur'an? Because his audience already disbelieved the "Turkish church."

You might remember Moore from his days as the Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court. He installed a 5,000-ton stone monument...

Said monument weighed (puts pinky to mouth) one MILLION pounds? Doubtful, John-John. More likely it was 5,000 lbs, and a 5,000 lb. rock really isn't that big.

I'm not sure what you're going for here.

I wouldn't love anything more than plugging some racist boomer trying to overthrow our constitution and our country. Our government is pretty much exactly how it was intended to be, and in it's current form, I'll defend it to my death. The last thing I want is my children growing up in a theocracy.

The supreme court has ruled that treason is a constitutionally guaranteed first-amendment right.
