OK, the cape was for dramatic effect, but why did Vader have a skirt on?

2010-02-03 09:54:16 AM
Don't be too proud of this technological terror you've constructed. The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the Force Ass.

So how come the force gives you the ability to fling spaceships and big chunks of building debris around, but not the ability to prevent yourself from being thrown off a balcony?

2010-02-03 10:09:05 AM
Well sure he would, and why not? He's got the best cauterizing device ever, and the skills to use it!

StoPPeRmobile: dragon927: OK, the cape was for dramatic effect, but why did Vader have a skirt on?

I see no skirt - just an under-belt robe and a cloak.

But that pic there was worth the price of admission.

Easy. Vader used the power of the Force-Hug.

That has to be a promotional pic taken years after the movies came out. "Empire" came out 30 years ago, and TFA says that he's 74.

Side note:

He also played a strongman in the 70s vampire flick "Vampire Circus".

/Movie scared the crap out of me when I was a little kid.

Then again....maybe not. But he looks much older than a guy in his mid 40s.
