I'm 21 and a guy and I agree with you. I wouldn't have had the patience to worry about what people wore. My Rugrats T-shirts kicked ass and anyone that disagreed could go DIAF. My 18 year old nephew just beat up a 20 year old friend of his. Why? The friend hit on my 14 year old daughter, who shot him down.
