"Why did you say that twice?"

"I didn't!"

I count six uses of the 'incident'. Wonder if he's related to the situation.

I can hear the other stations now...
"You guys at Echo always seem to draw conflict."
Maybe it's the name.

"There was an incident on Dec. 4 with three members of their company," Verdicchio said. "There was a complaint made of noise, which was handled internally within the company."

The suspensions will be up on Sunday, so "it's almost over," he said. "It was something that happened in the middle of the night and it was dealt with swiftly and aggressively."

"They were suspended and were apparently doing something they weren't supposed to be doing," he said.

Whta I noticed is the word VOLUNTEER doesn't seem to appear much around their site. Just a few thoughts if you think the condo commando fro mthe HOA's are a nightmare then you have never met a volunteer firefighter that has some position of authority. I imagine that some guys at the Lions Club got a little rowdy one night too or maybe those Masons got a little excited over a ritual... this is basically that relevant. Everyday somewhere some volunteer department is doing something fark worthy... this is toally not one of those cases.

These guys?

Mrs Little: Hello, is that the fire brigade?

Cut to the fire station.
First Fireman: No, sorry, wrong number.

He puts the phone back. Pull out to reveal four or five firemen in full gear, surrounded by fire-fighting equipment and a gleaming fire engine. The firemen are engaged in a variety of homely pursuits: one is soldering a crystal set, another is cooking at a workbench, another is doing embroidery, another is at a sewing machine. The first fireman is at the phone on the wall. He goes back to clearing up a budgie's cage.

Second Fireman That phone's not stopped ringing all day.

FEMA likes the word Incident. For example, firefighters are pretty much required to take National Incident Management System (NIMS) Incident Command System (ICS) 100 and 200. then NIMS 700. Then if you're an ociffer, even more!!

I know that firehouse. Those guys drink like there's no tomorrow. I'm surprised every house in Shelton doesn't get destroyed by fire.

I know it too, having lived in Shelton for about 15 years. That part of Shelton could do with some fire-inspired urban renewal.

/not advocating anyone actually go out and set downtown Shelton on fire though
//Shelton is one of the better off communities making up the Naugatuck Valley

i live right behind this firehouse.

they have an obnoxiously loud horn that they still use, for no real reason i can think of.

the incident in question involved that horn going off repeatedly for about 10 minutes at 3:30 AM on a Friday morning.

luckily my boyfriend and i both had that day off (sheer luck), but many of our neighbors who didn't, were enraged.

it's nice to find out that something actually happened as a result of the complaints filed.

they haven't sounded that horn since, thankfully.
