So she's their 13 year old daughter, then?

They were just taking a hard stance on childhood obesity.

She was allegedly only let out so she could go to school, eat, or use the bathroom during the day.

Parents are p*ssys. She got plenty of daylight

2010-02-01 10:15:18 PM
Disgusting. How the hell did the school not notice anything wrong? And kudos to the one brother who was brave enough to speak up.

The "dad" (Alfredo Ines):

According to the report, the girl was not allowed to play with her brothers or watch television. She would do her homework using light coming from underneath the crack of her door.

Sounds like the "parents" had psych issues, maybe hated the idea of giving birth to a girl, so they tortured her by letting the three boys do everything while she couldn't.

At least the "mom" had enough to eat.

/With a name like Leticia, you know she's crazy

Actually, doesn't "Leticia and Alfredo Ines" sound like a Mexican salad or something?

but did she still steal food from the fridge?

Goddamitsomuch. You did the obvious already.

Creepiest part is the girl went to school, had contact with plenty of people, and yet said nothing.

It's quite the mental twisting that goes on in these situations.

Isn't this really just a very long "time out"?

I need to stop reading these types of stories before going to bed. I hate going to bed angry.

Hopefully mom and dad will now learn what its like to be locked in a small room.

I gotta agree. It's not like she was permanently confined. surely she got at least one meal a day at school, right?

Come on. These parental abuse stories are just getting weak now. Hell if I remember that's comparable to what I was allowed to do at that age.

Even prisoners have electricity and a bathroom. You can call it a long time out but it's still one that enters abuse territory.

Makes you question "time out" as a parenting strategy, doesn't it?

The parents are so going to catch hell from the other inmates in jail. Karma's a biatch.

When I get to hell, there will be no corner deep enough or dark enough to prevent me from finding these two and eternally torturing them to death over and over.

not in the last year

It had to be REALLY bad if her brother was the one to say something first. She was incapable.
This is so horribly sick.
You'd think it would be punishment enough that her dad is a janitor and her mom works at Walmart.

From the Article:
The bucket in the space was her bathroom at night. Police say she was forced to clean it every morning.

At least if you go to jail, you don't have to sit next to a bucket filled with your own excrement.
