Or that.

Fringe should do an episode based around this. It would give Walter a chance to say "It has been hypothesized that..." and then launch into some crazy shiat about starlings having their dna changed to form the shape of a wrecking ball, or a stealth bomber

How a flock of starlings can look just like a bird, a duck and even a turtle

Call me when they do a broach or a pterodactyl.

Read the article. Just like the Brits, these old birds are freaking communist bastards. Launch an ICBM from LEO and wipe these SOBS from the FOtE.

Well, you could totally see how ancient people would think there were magical spirit animals in the sky with this kind of stuff going on overhead.

You can tell by the pixels. I've seen some shops in my day.

Thats cool and everything but it's not like the Starlings held that formation. I bet those formations lasted all of a fraction of a second. When they are in a mass like that they don't fly around in the shape of giant animals, they constantly change formation to form all sorts of different shapes. All you need is a camera and patience. Just stand there taking hundreds of pics and I'm sure a handful will look like recognizable shapes.

If there was a vid of the birds flying in that formation for a few seconds, then I'd be impressed.

I see these birds (or whatever the local variation is) when I drive way out in the country here in northern IL. They can make some really cool spinning, pulsing blobs in the air but I've never seen them resemble anything.
