John Edwards and Tiger Woods - two brazillionares who should have stayed single.

Tiger, yeah maybe. But there is no way Edwards could have had a political career as a bachelor. That just doesn't fly in the US. Morans here think you need to be married and pay lip service to god to have a moral compass.

Well, you know how Africans feel about birth control and STD protection, and all that. They just don't give a fark.

Meanwhile, probably 10 of his kids are going hungry. Too bad, good luck. That's how they roll in Africa.

It's a genuine indicator of stability and a bit of aversion to risk-taking behavior. Note that being married drops your insurance premiums on things like auto and home-owner's. I assure you that insurance companies don't give people a cheaper deal because they're all warm and fuzzied out by the overwhelming aura of family values.

It's 50% accurate at best.

Much, much better than that, actually. Actuarial statistics is some of the best-developed math in the world, due to the aforementioned insurance connection. They know damn well what the expectation values on risk factors from lifestyle indicators are, and the standard deviations, etc. The accuracy is very high, enough that they don't need huge customer bases to smooth the statistics and make things profitable.

Yeah, that's just what Africans need. A prominent leader having indiscriminate, unprotected sex with who the hell ever he feels like. Well he's wealthy and powerful, never mind that he has access to medicine you can't even dream of, go ahead, clap at how many children he has, fellow africans. Emulate him.

This is what happens when a you have a black president ruling a white nation.

South Africa is white right? It's the bizzaro one for them?

No, it's a (mostly) white run economy governed by a black majority. Zuma is in office bacause the average shack-dwelling moron votes ANC regardless of how much they get farked by think. Basically, think rednecks voting for repubs.

That is a sad reality that few are bold enough to accept. But after Mandela, that country has no capable black leaders.

I once had a conversation with an old Austrian man at a campsite where he seamlessly steered the conversation from how he agreed that Austrians were too racist to how he would never go to South Africa since the fall of the Apartheid, and how he had to leave Israel when the Palestinians started 'acting up'.

I drank his wine.

This is interesting to me that the article stated that the people of South Africa do not care about this leaders personal life. How much better would it be if in America we didn't care about who John Edwards or Bill Clinton had sex with, we only cared if they were being great leaders. Too bad that we live in a country that loves the dirt on people, and the more shocking the news the more we listen.

It helps when a high percentage of the population can't read or write, and has no access to radio, newspapers, or the internet. The way things are going in this country, 9n a hundred years or so, we'll be right there with them.

How do people like this get to run countries? I want to run a country but i guess attending seccondry school, not having sex with hiv positive people, having one wife, not raping people or being corrupt must disqualify me.

The guy raped a woman he knew was HIV positive. And then took a shower after to wash off the AIDS. I think they might be better off if they cared a little more about this particular lunatic's personal life.

That's why countries like this are called, "THIRD WORLD".

They are virtual puppy mill / baby factories. I'd like to know what percentage of the "orphans" in Haiti are really orphans whose parents are actually deceased and are not just abandoned children.

The best aid they could send to Haiti is a ton of condoms.

Orphan as in no living relatives? Probably a small percentage. Orphan as in no one will take them on? A much higher percentage.

To be fair, apartheid denying the black population a proper education is probably the reason that country has no capable black leaders.

Economically, maybe. But it wasn't politically sustainable. Armed resistance and increasingly widespread popular protest tend to put a damping effect on governments and economies like that...
