Now that I got that out of my system...

It's refreshing to see someone coming to the aid of a robbery victim. Good job by the guy who helped. Even better job cause he punched the robber in the face. I mean, might as well give the guy something to consider next time he tries this.

Shame that robbers are now starting to know/realise that they have more rights than the victims. Break into someone's house, get into a fight, charge for assault. As long as they try to escape, the 'victim' is assaulting them.

Seems like an easy get out of jail assrape free card.

how they just got the guys age is anyone's guess. even for a police blotter story it was pretty pathetic.

In reality, the puncher will not be charged, since he was not arrested, identified, or even mentioned in the police report.
The perp would have a lot of trouble sueing him too, since he doesn't, you know, actually know who he is.

San Diego Trolley stations = crime magnets. And by the way, don't expect the surveillance cameras to be of much help in identifying anybody. Their quality sucks so bad that somebody's kid must have gotten the contract to install used webcams.
