They already started the annual-Favre retirement coverage, and even worse, he said he knows what he is going to do. This will clearly not drag out for months on end...

JuicyJ: Brett Favre to the Bears confirmed.

So he already retired from the Rams?

He can go lose games there and it will be hilarious.

So all the Colts fans I've talked to have said that of course they want the Colts to win, but if anyone is going to beat them in the Super Bowl they'd want it to be the Saints. This should be an excellent game.

2010-01-24 10:51:47 PM
Ok, you crazy Farkers, it's been fun but I'm outta here! Goodnight! Hope the thread hits 7k and/or beyond! :D

thejoyofpi: DamnYankees: I will say this - whoever wins this, if they show up playing like this in the Super Bowl, will be killed by the Colts.

Much as I hate to admit it, you're right.

He's right.
I've been on the Colts since about week 9, and I don't like that either.

Colts play like a relentless, steady machine.
Vikes and Saints was the battle of least mistakes.

Colts 34
Saints 27 (but only due to a late, face-saving TD)

Lord Ezekiel: The Great EZE: LucklessWonder: So what teams are there left that have never made a Super Bowl?

Texans

Am I missing any?

If I remember the original Divisional Round thread, you're missing the Bengals, Bills, and Seahawks.

The Bills went (and choked) 5 years in a row. Even in Buffalo they were calling for someone else to go from the AFC.

Bengals lost 16 & 23 to the 49ers, Buffalo dropped four straight (25-28) to the Giants, Skins, and Cowboys twice. Seahawks lost #40 to the Steelers. The four - Houston, Cleveland, Detroit, and Jacksonville - are the last 4.

Genevieve Marie: mikaloyd: Genevieve Marie: Perfect thread for this!!! New Orleans Fark Party January 30th at Madigan's uptown. COME! Our livers need some training if we're going to get through the Super Bowl AND Mardi Gras.

Do you have any tears in your eyes?

I do. I just posted about that on facebook. I'm not a huge football fan but my mother is and has been a Saints fan since 1967. She watched before the Super Dome was BUILT. She buys her season tickets every year, no matter how bad a year they're having, and goes out and hopes and says "next year."

So yea, thank you Saints for making my mom probably the happiest she's ever been in her life.

Give your Mom a great big WHO DAT from me!

And a twirly FDL

haha, I forgot about that. From what I hear, everyone in his neighborhood knows who he is and pretty much just leaves him alone. Also, Mark Kelso does the color commentary on the Bills radio broadcasts, and isn't half bad, surprisingly.
