Good fubol is like good boobies. They are perfect.

Round, pert with erect nipples? Most interesting description of a football game that I'VE ever heard.

Ok, yeah, that applies.

srhp29: cptjeff: tootse: cptjeff: And the coin flip that has a 75% chance of determining who goes to the superbowl is coming up...

Isn't it more like 60%

I'm pretty sure it's higher then 60, but that's off the top of my head.

It's still way too much though.

From the 2000 through 2007 regular seasons, there have been 124 overtime games. In every single game except one (I believe), the team that won the toss elected to receive. And those receiving teams won 60% of the time (and tied once). That's a relatively large advantage, particularly when compared to home field advantage

Who the F didn't take the ball in overtime?

What pct of games does the team that losses the turnover battle 5-1 win?

I think they said they'll kick to the clock, because there was a big tail wind. As it turned out, they choose to kick, and the opponent got to choose direction, so they got nothing. That could have been a college game, it was years ago that i read it in some dumbest sports moments ever book.

PPL_Wannabe: Yellow line is a supplement for TV viewers, folks.

Really? I never knew...
2010-01-24 10:09:18 PM
one nice thing about this game being on fox and not CBS- no fricking "after this game you'll be seeing 60 Minutes in its entirety; for those of you on the west coast...." announcement every 4 minutes.
2010-01-24 10:09:21 PM

I am so sorry, Jesus, I had forsaken you.

netweavr: PPL_Wannabe: Yellow line is a supplement for TV viewers, folks.

We're aware, it's just usually more accurate than that.

True, true. I really never saw it that far off either.

mikaloyd: I want Deuce right now

Try to hold it in until the game is over. You may prairie dog it and have some stains on your boxers, but it will be worth it.

Who has the links to the nakey pictures of that chick?

It's russian. (new window)

Yeah, she is NOT a sweetie, sorry boys. Sweeties don't let anyone take pictures like that.

I don't find her all that attractive anyway.

The boobie stretch marks are epic on that one.

Her tits are down to her belly button. I was under the impression that saggy tits were unattractive.
2010-01-24 10:09:50 PM
he didnt make it. but they wont overturn it.
2010-01-24 10:09:53 PM

If you theoretically lose control of the ball (if they rule he did, that is), that may take away the previous forward progress.
2010-01-24 10:09:56 PM

John Nash: Call it a first down or not, just please don't review it again.

Never mind.

Jesus Christ NFL, this "review" every play bullshiat is why you instituted the Challenge Rules.
2010-01-24 10:10:04 PM
I don't think he had possession when it crossed.
2010-01-24 10:10:07 PM
Does momentarily losing control alter forward progress?
2010-01-24 10:10:07 PM

srhp29: Who the F didn't take the ball in overtime?

The most notable moment in Mornhinweg's coaching history was his decision, coaching Detroit, to kick after winning an overtime coin toss. Mornhinweg felt that having the wind in his favor was more important for his Lions to win the game against the Chicago Bears, despite having as his kicker Jason Hanson, who hit a then-NCAA record 62-yard field goal in his college days at Washington State University. He elected to kick and on the Bears opening drive, Chicago scored a field goal. Mornhinweg's Lions went on to become 3-13 after that game, and prompted fed-up Lions fans to refer to the coach as "Marty Moron-weg". This decision was the runner up for the Terry Award to Dwayne Rudd's premature helmet toss celebration that cost his Cleveland Browns a victory.

2010-01-24 10:10:08 PM
What the hell....
2010-01-24 10:10:10 PM
Man I don't know it that was a 1st down or not...may not be enough to overturn though.

Seriously, my name is no lie.

This is big.

2010-01-24 10:10:14 PM

RevLovejoy: thejoyofpi: vegaswench: Oh no, don't go for it. Ugh.

wat? In sudden death overtime, why the hell wouldn't they go for it?

Cuz if you miss that's a shorter field for Favre

I really don't think field position matters much here. You don't want to give Favre the ball if you can help it
2010-01-24 10:10:18 PM
I want this to go a full quarter with no one scoring...

I can just hear Donovan McNabb..."So wait, I was right?"
