You'll see him returning a Peyton Manning pass for a TD today.

4NSpy: shiat, not much time left to get my OTA HD feed working.

come on you stupid coat hanger antenna, you worked just fine the other day!

you gotta make an octopus-like contraption with several coathangers to get good HD reception.

How long are they gonna go on about the e-trade baby?

witchofthedogs: I've ditched a family dinner tonight with my future-in-laws so I can stay home and watch the Saints game.

And, since we'll be on our honeymoon for the Super Bowl, I've informed my soon-to-be husband that we WILL be sitting in a bar and watching the game if the Saints are playing. I don't care if he's not a football fan and I don't care that we will be down at Disney.

This is why I love you, baby.
And I am telling you right now: you WILL be watching the Super Bowl on your honeymoon.

Your husband to-be needs to forfeit his man card if he doesn't want to watch the Super Bowl.

thejoyofpi: I just saw Brett Favre doing the "pants on the ground" song on the NFL network pregame show.

That was kind of funny, actually.

I watched video of AP and his posse partying on Bourbon street last night. AP had pants up but the posse had their shorts hangin below their butts

He's not a traditional sports fan. He can watch the X-Games on a 24-hour loop, but doesn't give a sh*t about football, basketball or baseball.

He does like hockey, though.

I'll come right out and say it I want the Colts and Vikings to win. Just because Manning vs Favre would be truly epic.

Lost Thought 00: thejoyofpi: Lost Thought 00: Jets win, Ryan has a heart attack before he is able to make his way to a microphone, and the Saints crush the Vikings.

/My ideal afternoon

You hate Rex Ryan?

Players and coworkers always describe him as one of the most likeable coaches in the NFL.

What the f*ck is wrong with you, asshole?

Likable in a Jersey Shore, "Imma gonna knocka your lightsa outa" sense, I guess. Brash, rude, obnoxious, and generally a slovenly human being is not my cup of tea

The Vikings have Purple Jesus, the Saints have Bressus, and the Jets have Revis Christ.

So does that make Peyton the Second Coming, or the Devil?

I've not watched a second of pregame, and I'm proud of that. [/jackass]

Alright, rolling to a pub to watch the game. I'll probably be back for Game 2: Favrtastic Boogaloo.

I want the Colts to win.

But Jets +8 is a good bet.

DamnYankees: Care tho share who that is?

Jim Leonhard, former Wisconsin star. He was on the Jim Rome show on Friday, so here's to hoping that Jungle Karma thing works.

The entire northwestern quarter of Wisconsin is rooting for the Jets today, just for this guy. As am I.

picodenico: Why's that?

/also welcome back to a football thread, sir!

I have a daily sports talk show an hour away from Minneapolis in Wisconsin. Brett Favre in the Super Bowl? I don't have to do much. Having Leonhard there would be good too--lots of good guests I could bring on the air from the area to talk about it.

I'll be glued to the Super Bowl same as every year no matter who is in it, just that seeing Manning and Favre in it would be truly awesome. Though I'll need a few bottles of Rollaids to get through it if it happens.
